so, 2012, they messed it up, the huge solar flare is happening in 2014 now, so ohhh welll! but, important thing bout 2012, the worlds poles switch, which have happend, i believe 12 times since the mayans, so if the world were to be ripped apart, uhm, that wouldda happened already.
I think it's all stupid too. If all hell really does break loose in 2012, there's most likely nothing that anyone can do about it. Instead of wasting time worrying, everyone should just live and enjoy their lives so that they won't have regrets just before their faces melt off, or explode from the inside, or whatever awesome death they'll experience in 2012... lol!
Well, they got it wrong since they thought 2000's the year that the world's gonna end. Yeah, they are way... wrong. Now, I think that this 2012 thing is a lie.

Theoretically we should make big celebrations everytime the world could end, where we cheer at the world's end. So in case it really ends, we didn't miss something. And if it doesn't end, we simply had a big party and will again later XD
How exactly can the world just end anyway? Unless some giant off-course asteroid hit us, I don't see how something can destroy every single piece of life on Earth? What exactly is supposed to happen in 2012?
