This is a post about the three games of the year. Which one do you choose? Which one will you love to play? and why do you like or not like the game?...
I personally am a fan of cap-com and trey-arc, honestly halo reach... isn't what your going expect it to be. it's not a part of the main story line, and Bungie is going out of businesses so its their last game. Employers and game designers are teaming up with Activation and making a group called 343. Halo 4 will be out soon and it will or might end the story. Dead Rising will be extremely fun, to have the ability to run around vegas in 2 modes is great. You have the story-line and unlimited mode. you can combine and use weapons of your choice and even use a dirt-bike and heres a secret. a special racing car. the best part is the ability to play online! Black-ops, has better weapons better abilities. better game modes and best of all, the ability to use currency to buy your unlocks. infinity-ward is better but due to World at War. i loved it but people don't like the fact your in the past. thats my opinion tell me yours!

Halo reach will be the greatest game bungie will or have ever made

You do realize that its going to be a small story and its not a part of the Halo 3 story line? no offense but bungie is going out and there will be a halo 4 within a couple years. They didnt tell the truth about spending years on it. it was created in only 9 months to a year. the reason why is because of Halo Wars and Halo O.D.S.T.
the other two ( Call of Duty) & ( Dead Rising 2) they both had years put into the game. 3 - 5-years. Halo Reach 9-months - 1 year

here is why your statement is utterly, and completely, false.

apparently, you didn't get the memo that Bungie didn't make Halo Wars, Ensemble Studios did as there final title as a developer. even if, that was a year and four-to-five months after the release of Halo 3.

back to Reach and ODST. When Halo 3 was released onto the market, Bungie split into two, slightly uneven, groups. one would work on a Halo 3 expansion, the other, a new title. these new titles would be ODST and Reach.

ODST was made by MUCH smaller group of people than the ones working on reach, and they immediately were brought onto the reach team once ODST was completed. It's been a clean 2 years and 10 months since halo 3's release. the last call of duty title came out... a year and 9-11 months ago. (by treyarch)

and Dead Rising came out in 2007, so it also has a good 3 years under its belt as well.

So anyway, we can immediately knock out Cod as being the best, despite its Nazi Zombie inclusions, for the reason that Dead Rising is a MUCH better zombie game than the nazi-zombie meta game.

I think Halo Reach will do better, mostly because Bungie has consistently presented top-notch games (especially Halo 2), its 10 year experience, while Capcom has only been doing this certain genre for 3 years, and this is the last halo game (despite DLC) that Bungie will make, so they want to go out with a bang. Reach is that bang, and will wipe the floor clean with all other console fall titles.

still looking forward to Brotherhood and Civ 5 tho!

dead-rising was one of xbox's first games. and i've had call of duty Waw a year before i've had my own xbox. it is not 9-11 months on it, it has at least close to 3 years or more xbox 360 has been out since 2005. The reason why bungie is going out is because they lost money because of odst so they had to make one more game before they gave rights to activision.

Dead Rising was released August 8th, 2006. the date is now September 11, 2010. that's a little under 3 years of possible development time.

Treyarch released CoD:5, WaW on November 11, 2008. That is exactly 1 year and 10 months ago.

"Lost money on ODST"
They didnt' lose money on ODST, it is one of the best selling expansions out there.
And Bungie isn't giving Halo to Activision (lord help us), they sold the right to Halo to 343 Studios, a subsidiary of Microsoft. Bungie will make other titles after Reach, but won't return to Halo.

you talk as if bungie has been given the same fate as ensemble, the havent, they will still continue to make games, but they don't want to over-do the Halo franchise like Spyro, Tony Hawk, Tomb Raider, and Medal of honor have been.
(on a side note, i think this new DICE game, Medal of Honor, will be fantastic, so not so much Medal of Honor)

you're right... its been four years. sorry bout that.

straight from the Wikipedia page... "343 Industries is a Microsoft created game developer of future Halo video games and projects. 343 Also Consists of two Former Bungie Employees, Frank O'Connor and Nathan Walpole."

Microsoft would NEVER let Activision meddle in their affairs (developers may get along sometimes, but publishers don't) and 343 was recently created, much too soon to be making WaW and Black Ops, who, as i repeat, are being made solely by TREYARCH.

Dead Rising 2 - although I'm going to say that, multiplayer-wise, Halo: Reach will rule and I hold nothing but contempt for Call of Duty these days.

As a single-player experience and overall quality level, though, I'd go dead Rising 2 - it looks to have a fantastically involved plot, great battle system and butt-kicking mechanisms plus I never get bored of running around committing genocide with a chainsaw.

This is a post about the three games of the year. Which one do you choose?

Mislead.
Call of Duty Black Ops cons:
Hyped up, thus will draw plenty of immature children, further ruining the game for others.
Using Valve for PC, allowing easy hack access even for Public Servers. Thus yet again proving the retardedness (if that's a word) of the CoD franchise - not learning from past mistakes I see.
Using the same stuff, introducing very little new things. A camera and remote control car. That's it. Oh, and a little appearance customization - which I love, but not really that great.
2 Perks = 1 Perk. What I mean is, you get 2 perks, those 2 perks are your bonuses and they also add up and create a third beneficial perk that you use. This is great. But it is also only 1 of 3 new things.
And yes, I know about vehicles - sorry, but didn't Battlefield Bad Company introduce this? Or you could trace it further back to Battlefield 1, or even Operation Flashpoint (the extremely old one). Nothing new there, I see.

New guns. Yes? And how inbalanced were they previously in MW2? Or even CoD4 to some extent. Who as a good player did you know actually used the MP44, Scorpion, most of the LMG's or some others? And no I don't mean the guy in your local Public Server, I mean some actual skilled players (no offense).

And then there's small maps, what for exactly? What benefits are there for small maps? Don't get me wrong, I like the quick-pace, but you can still keep pace with large maps that require some strategic thinking (ie. Battlefield). This provides homogenization, which isn't a good thing, and whilst it has its pro's, it also has cons (such as attack-nades, if you understand that lingo), pack this with other bad traits and you get a bad game.

Oh, and that was all about Black Ops.

Halo Reach looks great! I'm no halo fanboi (I'm not even a Battlefield one), but they seemed to step up and introduce some very nice things for everyone. And some bloody customization to your team, which is great! The Elites = Bigger Better Faster Stronger, but the Spartans have more utility and flexibility! Great
They also have a great balance in weapons (the small amount there are), as well as vehicles.
The flexibility in control you have, even with an Xbox remote is unbelievable! It's very nice being able to have large maps aswell.
Oh, there's also Black Ops essentially "copying" Halo with the Camera thing, that is basically the only good thing I can think of Black Ops - especially with the customization.

Black Ops shouldn't count as a game of the year, despite the popularity spike it will bring.
Halo Reach I believe could, but I am unsure due to not being involved in it that well.
And I learn about a lot of different games but I've rarely heard about Dead Rising 2.... I'll research it later maybe.

At the moment i'll have to go with Halo Reach

Right now, I'm really happy that the games I'm playing don't have PunkBuster installed. It's currently not letting me play All Points Bulletin, America's Army or Modern Warfare. I also know that many other people have issues with it and have to resort to servers without the technology enabled.

As long as there are dedicated servers, the lack of powerful anti-cheat engines is redundant. Administrators and moderators will often leave their contact details, especially on popular servers where hackers, if any, will swarm to, and people can report them directly to those with full authority over the server and the players on it.

Using the same stuff, introducing very little new things. A camera and remote control car. That's it. Oh, and a little appearance customization - which I love, but not really that great.

Treyarch, despite being a developer more aware of their community's wants and needs than Infinity Ward still have to gain money, and if there's a winning formula -- one that grosses loads of cash -- they're going to use it. Modern Warfare 2 gathered over a billion dollars, that's not an opportunity that Treyarch want to miss out on.

But they do have to add something, otherwise people will simply say it's a Modern Warfare 2 clone. Even the tinniest most insignificant gimmicks will attract people. Many people bought APB just because of how powerful the customisation tools were -- you could change skin-pigment, how much bones protruded, height, muscularity, add scars or even change breast size, there were also tattoo creation, customisation on practically every clothing item you bought, full control over your car's appearance, and more -- all Treyarch have to do is throw in an integrated Photoshop for gun customisation and show off a few tiny extras and bam, people are going to flock in the thousands.

New guns. Yes? And how inbalanced were they previously in MW2?

Adding new guns does not necessarily mean there's going to be balance issues. Besides, how many guns were used in Modern Warfare 2? Only the ones that were over-powered. It doesn't matter how many guns they include, you and everyone else are only going to use the best.

And I learn about a lot of different games but I've rarely heard about Dead Rising 2.... I'll research it later maybe.

Dead Rising . . . The amount of fun me and mate had with that. It was immersive and fun, battering down a zombie with your umbrella, running over one with a lawnmower, or clubbing it to death with a glowing toy sword.

Out of those three? Dead Rising 2. Dead Rising on the PC, that cannot go wrong. Halo Reach? Halo went down hill very fast after the first two. Call of Duty 6? I definitely won't be camping outside GAME waiting for them to open, but I'll want to buy it nonetheless.

i dont see fallout new vegas on this list, and i think that will be GOTY. fallout 3 was the best rpg i've ever played, and possibly the best game ive ever played. fallout new vegas is a big contender for GOTY, and if you deny that your a fool.

but seen as though i have to choose from your list...

Black ops looks promising and definatley better than mw2, but i will always have bad thoughts about cod after mw2. i love the customisation feature, its what the cod series has always needed. and the guns look decent from what seen, i hope its good.

Reach is a definate contender, the beta looked a tiny bit better than halo 3, but the campaign, OMG. i cant describe it. sure i love halo online but im looking forward to the campaign more.

and dead rising, well as good as it is, i dont think it will make GOTY. looks awesome, and it will be awesome but not the GOTY.

FALLOUT NEW VEGAS FOR GOTY!!!!!!!
