You know what I think? I think Muslims are a threat; but not an existing or objective threat, they're really a subjective threat to the highplaced christians who want to eradicate the Islam, only because they think they're the only true religion. I always thought that they were just horribly disfigured at the end of it.
Seriously holt, I live far nearer to Islam countries than you, and I don't see or feel any hint on such a thing as you're trying to divulge. Only other christians thinking same than you (only on rare occasion, which is still too often though) and offended, peaceful muslims. The muslims I know live in accord with their religion while being totally peaceful, respecting of others and friendly.
