Alright, a basic story intro, then on to the rules! Text wall, so beware! I'll try to make it as fun as possible.

When he brought the screen up, he began to see numbers scroll down the page. I.D. numbers, to be precise, each one about 6 or 8 digits.
"Good. They are here. This should be interesting..."

As the people began to regain conciousness, they took a look at their surroundings: Bleak and grey, like the inside of a castle. The walls were a gray stone of some sort, but unidentifiable, and they glowed with an inner light, giving the room an eerie light to it. One wall didn't glow like the others, however, like it was made of something else. On the opposing wall was a arge wodden door, with iron decorations that looked like they were burned into the wood, giving an odd glow of black burnt wood that made the decorations all the more fearful.g Not all of the people regained conciousness at once, though. It was like a ripple: First, a few, then more and more.
Once most of the people were awake, there was the sound of a click, then a high-pitched whine, and an image appeared on the wall, which turned out to be a huge television, like the one in Times Square in New York. A man's face appeared, wearing what appeared to be a mask. He wore a rather plain mask, where one side was white, and the other was black. There were no eyeholes, and it covered the entirety of his face.
"Greetings, my fellow fighters, and welcome to your new lives! You have been chosen from all walks of life in the most exciting battle this world has ever seen! This is a battle of wits, strength, courage, dexterity, cunning, and skill! This is... The Castle!
"Your goal in this gladiator battle is to be the first one to reach the front gate of this castle from where you stand right now. To do that, you will have to travel through the castle's levels, avoiding traps, pitfalls, and other obstacles! Team up if you wish, or go alone, but there can only be one of you who takes the title, and can go through the gate!
"I will alert you when it is time to begin, when everyone joins us. Plan for the future, because for all but one of you, this will be the rest of yours!"
The man laughed, and the television turned off. A pause, and then people began to panic. Some were huddled up in groups, some ran around in a frenzy. And some took it rather well, talking to others, planning on what they should do when they get out. And the ones who were unconcious began to stir from the commotion...

You grab a torch and go down the middle hallway. Good thing you did, for it seems that most of the other torches down this hallway were already taken. At the far end of the hallway, there's a door. Over the door is a banner, depicting a bloody field and a warrior in black standing alone.

"So yeah, buddy, just follow me, and we'll be all set" the man said. "Say, by the way, what's your name?" You tell him. "Hmmm... I think I heard that somewhere before... eh, it'll come to me. You look alright to me. Oh, and my name is..." a pause while he thought about it "... Mel. Yeah, that's it." Mel said.
"Alright, let's see what we got here..." He walks over to the suits of armor. "Here, try these on" he said, as he began tossing things to you.

You wake up and, realizing that everyone's gone, decide to look around. After finding nothing, you go out through the doorway.
You see a few torches lining the walls, most of which are out, but a few still burn. There are also suits of armor lining some of the walls.
There is a hallway to your left, and 2 in front: one in the middle and one on the right. What will you do?

Alright, I think I'm gonna be swamped with such a large number in play. I'm gonna cut off the joining for now. I'm happy that so many people want to play The Greatest! And sorry everyone for the wait, I had a ton of homework I had to get through. That, and I don't have my normal computer, so I couldn't get on until right now... Oh well! You decide to look through the window at the end of the hallway. You find that the window actually looks into a prison cell. Interesting place for a cell, you think to yourself... Then you head through the door, followed by Mel.
"Hey, buddy, I don't think we should go this way..." he whispered quietly, as if there was something watching him.
The Cell was fairly sparse, but not nearly as devoid as the average cell. It had a large, almost cushy bed, with a pillow and a blanket. There was a water bottle in the corner, which was strangely out of place in such an old-fashioned place. There was a liquid inside that didn't count as water, no matter how hard you wanted it to be.
In the other corner, you find a gold coin, lying near the corner of the cell. Trying to keep it from Mel, you stow it in your pocket.

As you looked around the hallway, you find a small knife in the corner! Score!

You pocket it and continue searching. You manage to find a Gold Coin in between the stones. With your knife in hand, you manage to get it out.

You look around the hallway to find something you can use. As you look, you trip over a loose stone. You decide, as punishment for tripping you, to take the stone with you.

You decide to look around the hallway. Oddly enough, and to your slight dismay, yoou find a skull laying on the ground near the door. Not usually a good sign, but you take the skull with you anyways.
