Is there some sense of irony here?

Yeah, if we got rid of the 30 second delay users would just spam an alt profile for points.

You could easily get around 120+ AP an hour doing so. Which is unfair.

yeah I can understand why they have the 30 second delay, but it just makes me mad because by the time I get done typing another comment I can't post it so i have to refresh and type it again. or copy paste

You can see why we need this 30 second delay. What is already categorized as spam would be thirty times worse, if not more exaggerated than that. This is so guys like Limebreaker don't repeat such threads and replies (no offense to you...or is it?).

The point of having the 30 second delays was to prevent spam. There should be no reason why you are having to wait for posting again, unless you are looking at the message right after you posted. From what you're saying, you are posting waaaay too quick.

Chill down....relaaax....take this sedative...it should turn you down to the coo' side.... Everything's swell when you're swell. When you're feeling swell, everything is just...just great.

So you support SPAM... halogunner. Jeez, 30 seconds ins't much, that's how long I have to wait for my economy to adjust in SC2 Custom Maps: Desert Strike.

I do get annoyed with it, but it stops spamming bots. Would you rather have that or have to typ in some code before each post.

Agreed, 30 seconds is much easier than typing in a code.

By the time you gind a topic, read all the replys, and type your post, thirty seconds is up. Just refresh before you type, and problem solved.

We have plenty of spam now.If we take out the 30 seconds delay then spammers would just take over the site.Besides, writing a good and useful post should take you more than thirty seconds. If it doesn´t take you that long you are a fast writing genius.

I disagree with this. Spammers will spam whether or not there is a delay. If someone wants to fill the screen with mindless nonsense a mere 30 second delay isn't going to stop anyone at all.

I know that the 30 seconds delay doesn't stop regular spammers. What I meant is that it stops some new users from making unthought posts. It doesn't stop many of them but it might stop some. The ones that just write mindless nonsense won't be stopped but those are easier to detect and ban than the ones that just make useless posts.
