we got into formation the cavalry seemed content on taking on anyone who wasn't prepared but when they came after us many of them were cut down by a hail of spears horses running wild with impaled riders lifeless on top of them but when the rest came our secondary Xiphos weren't quite long enough 3 were killed and one came after me i tried to deflect it but he stabbed into my helmet not hitting me but i had lost my helmet leaving me vulnerable

Scramble for my helmet, and do the devilish thing;when the persian comes back slice at the horses legs, keeping shield above my head to deflect persian on top attacks. Then when persian tumbles leap and finish him off.

the helmet is far away since it was on his spear and he got it off and it's been stabbed through
and the cataphracts horses are armored too to prevent that

knowing i wouldn't win if he was on a horse when he came for another attack i grabbed his spear and ripped him off his horse he then pulled his mace off his back and a small buckler he knew one of us would die and was determined it wouldn't be him he lunged for me

you deflect his blow but it doesn't go into your shield (it's bronze -.-) and you manage to grab him but everyone else is busy and he's grabbing for his mace that he dropped
