Uh, Is this appropriate to be on the forums?

Jesus, man, the forums are meant to be a slow and somewhat snailish form of communication between the members of AG - that is, to give you time before you think of a reply. Seeing as you definitely did not think this through, I'm going to say that you yourself did not think through your own actions.

Just have patience and enjoy posting 5 or so posts a day, there's not rush.

If everyone started making threads the forums would be too rampant and un-controllable.

This is not a chat room. Threads are for discussing a topic, meaning you can expect there to be a large time gap between replies.
