If you'd like to repeat that in English and with reasons backing up... whatever you just said - then we'll talk. I mean, out of all the religions, why choose a monotheistic one?
our body or our soul? 2 completely different matters.
We already know that our body either decomposes in some manner, or is treated by other humans so that it does not, or it is incinerated. Whatever you or someone else decides what to do with your body is irrelevant though. In the end our bodies will disappear from existence in their current form.
As for a soul, I have yet to see any conclusive evidence that such a thing even exists, so before we begin postulating as to where it may or may not go it would be a requirement that we establish that it is real.
Could you at least expand on what religion you are? And why you believe that you're going to your specific God? Or any God at all? What evidence do you have that there's even an afterlife?
I thought those who assert something have to prove it's true, so people who say we go to heaven have to prove it's true, not the opposite. Of course you're right, it's only believe, so they won't be able to prove it, in conclusion 314d1 is in his rights when thinking it doesn't exist.
But if I had to prove we don't go anywhere, the best attempt would be to demonstrate how your consciousness is derived from your brain, and how changes in the brain affect your self. So when the brain dies definitely, your consciousness is no longer existant.
