Do we continue life in HEAVEN for EVER and what would we do if that happened?

OR do we continue live in HELL for EVER suffering because we all sinned?

This is probably the hardest question in the world to answer but I want to know what you think will happen to us?

I find it interesting that the majority of christians who give an argument give a cyclical self-referencing argument -
There's a God because the Bible says so.
The Bible is true...because God said so.

Yes, Te Bible proves the existence of God and Heaven as much as Harry Potter proves the existence of Dumbledore and Hogwarts.

Considering we have no way to determine if this is true or not it's somewhat useless to bring tot he table at this point.

are we debating what possibly happens or are we discussing what possibly happens? I've judged a few debate tournament rounds... you generally choose a winner based off of who has the strongest argument whether you agree w/ the stronger debater's argument or not.... if that's the case then obviously you as a 31 year old would have swept the floor w/ all these kids... I was under the impression that we should discuss possibilities of what should happen and talk about what we would like to happen...

OP says he'd like to know what we think...

Just b/c something isn't provable or disprovable doesn't mean it should be axed out of the realm of possibility altogether... It was more of a humorous side thought... what if we're just some holographic mmo video game and the supposed "soul" was just the other entity that is jacked into this supposed "matrix".... Being that this is a video game site, i thought it would be a little more appreciated.

i'm not here to turn it into an argument or even try to win one.

actually it doesn't really matter if we are in some kind of matrix or not becaus the question still remains "what happens after death?"

Just because I might be older doesn't mean I will have the strongest debate. If it is off the strongest argument then those that can be verified will always take the lead.

Didn't say it should be axed from the realm of possibility. Just at unverifiable claims aren't that productive in determining what really happens. So bringing them in is as good as suggesting pure fiction as a possibility.

Sometime the sarcasm get's lost in translation on the net.

Well,as an atheist, raised in an atheist household,I believe we stay in a coffin,to slowly compost into nothingness, they is no prove for God at all, just a book, which holds no prove either,it could have been written by anyone, anywhere,

I do not mean to offend any religion, its just my opinion, although I hope for all the people who have died and are going to die that I'm wrong and its a wonderful place full of happiness and loved ones.

I know I've already posted my opinion, but I don't like these threads that ask "where" or "how". I think they should be "where do you think" or "how do you think", because it's a personal opinion, as there is no proof that a god exists yet there is also no proof that it doesn't.

A not-necessarily-true assumption.
There are several &quotroblems" with religion.

Second - if God cannot be proven, then it's illogical to be theist. If you have no evidence God interacts with the system (the universe), then you cannot possibly say that he exists, much less exists in the universe.

Religion is illogical, anything spiritual or esoteric is illogical. That's why it's called faith, and that's why they don't deem it necessary to argue with proofs. Which is why you will never find a good reason following the words "I believe we go to heaven or hell because..." (if a reason is mentioned at all). Which, finally, is the reason so many people were right in mentioning the thread title lacks the words "What is your opinion about..."

So - then how can they be satisfied - with themselves - in their beliefs?

There is no "opinion" about this - there is only the truth and the fallacious. Opinion implies that you can't arrive to a conclusion, so you might as well believe whatever you want.

Why? Don't take this post as offensive or anything - I would like to know your justification for my own understanding.

Is this what you believe? Where do you draw the fine line between heaven and hell? Are there different "layers" to heaven and hell, like in Dante's Inferno?

Second - what evidence do you have for this? Why should one believe this?
