I am fascinated by the origins of peoples names for a long time. if anyone would like to talk about their (first names only) names meaning and origins then well...uh..please do!
My name David is derived from old Biblical Hebrew. It is pronounced "DAY-vid" and means "beloved". Obviously, King David's the most famous person with my name.
My name is sort of a mystery...I really don't know the real origins of it and what it means. But the most reliable piece of information is that my name (Keld) is a surname of the name Kjell witch is Danish (it makes sense cause I'm half Danish).
And the name Kjell has many different variants and it origins from the word for kettle in Old Norse (the language of the vikings spoken in Scandinavia), so my name means kettle...how fun.
I don't really know how many famous people are named Keld, it's a rare name, very rare.
My name is Natalija, pronounced Nah-Tah-Lee-Ya and it means something along the lines 'Christmas Day' as in born on Christmas, although 11th of December isn't exactly Christmas.

From the Greek name ÎαÏÏν (Iason), which was derived from Greek ιαÏθαι (iasthai) "to heal". In Greek mythology Jason was the leader of the Argonauts. After his uncle Pelias overthrew his father as king of Iolcos, Jason went in search of the Golden Fleece in order to win back the throne. During his journeys he married the sorceress Medea, who helped him gain the fleece and kill his uncle, but who later turned against him when he fell in love with another woman. This name also appears in the New Testament, belonging to man who sheltered Paul and Silas. In his case, it may represent a Hellenized form of a Hebrew name. It was not used in England until after the Protestant Reformation.
Also, if you take a look at the months July, August, September, October, and November, you'll see the first letter of each month spells my name. :P
My name is Jessica...it can be traced back to Hebrew or Israeli roots. Basically it means "God beholds" or "God is watching". It was first used in its current form by Shakespeare, whose play "The Merchant of Venice" featured a girl named Jessica, daughter of Shylock. Most likely, it is derived from the Biblical name Iscah(which in Shakespeare's time would have been spelled Jescha). The Biblical name Iscah can be traced back to the Hebrew name Yiskah, which meant "To behold". And that's about as far back as I can get.
mah name is Phillip (or Felipe when I'm in Mexico) which has Grecian roots to the meaning "Horse Lover" which was true at my old old (2 houses ago) house we had a lot of horses
