Since it seems that the amount of features in AG3 will be expanded, including new things like 'karma,' etc...

Can we expect to see an increase in the number of Moderators on the site or will game developers have more power over the people viewing their content - removing this need?

Oh we will always have moderators, no question about that! Game developers will be off doing their own things, being too busy to play policeman. If the stuff about reviews are right, then, on the part about merits, the mods' jobs will be easier. If the site has a higher amount of users active, then we may have more mods. That's only if we need it though. 1 guy can usually handle anything deadly on the forums, even if it's a string of black-level flamers. The reason why we have more than one mod is because of the wide area of the site and because of the schedules. Having more mods can cover a wider area of the day, which is better, no question about that.

I'm leaning more on "more mods" than "less/no mods".

I agree with more mods freakenstein. We only have a few mods as it is who are regularly on, at least it seems. Plus we have a few mods who have not been on for a while, such as Estel, Dank, and Devoidless. Plus, as Freakenstein said, there may be more users once AG 3.0 comes out, which mens more mods will be needed. So, it would be good to have a few more mods once AG 3.0 comes out.

More users =/= more forum posters. Sdly only a VERYsmall magurity of active users actually use the forums, and are ever seen by the majority of the community. They just play games, and no one ever has to see what there doing. Due to that, we don't really NEED more mods. The ones we have do fine enough jobs. besides, Picking Mods is a hard job, and tlak to the mods, it sucks to be one.

Given the new "feeds" and such that we'll have on the site, feedback and comments will be much more visible than the current AG2 forums. To some degree, though, users will continue to help mods find offending content.

Yes, a very small percentage of users go here. We have at the most around 500 users that frequent the forum--that's only .0001-2% since we have more than half a million shown. Given what Cormyn has said, having more mods means more to look around the game comments. We will still need mods around the site, regardless; the feeds that users get will not make them more powerful--they will make them more versatile.

Overall, we're already talking to the mods about tools that will make their jobs easier, especially when it comes to helping them find offending content that gets flagged by users.

I've already built a new system for flagging shared game content so users can report inappropriate content that users make, but I'm not sure we'd let mods delete shared game data, we'd probably handle those internally.
