Hello! I am back, and once again I am bringing up health care.

Rather than create a huge debate, I merely want to understand why everyone believes in their own system. Please link sources such as articles and videos as to why you believe in a particular health care system.

Rather than march onto a battlefield of debate, I want us to share our ideas and to challenge them.

Personally, I see no problem in having private medical procedures. I think insurance and national health care are both horrible systems.

I certainly agree that Universal Health Care is flawed - but is it truly more flawed than any other system? Is there no good compromise between the current system and a Universal one? I struggle to find the link at the moment but I remember reading an article about a number of 'hybrid' systems that seemed to work quite well in theory.

Just watch what I Linked. It should cover many of the things you have posted.

I am off for now but please critique the video I linked and I'll try to do the same for anything everyone else links. I linked to a youtube video playing something shown on TV back in 2007.

Here's the problem: Those who support private health care are biased in their sources, and those who support universal health care are equally biased in their sources. We're not going to find common ground here.

I'm also a fan of the hybrid systems. Having private care for those who can have it and public care for those who need it provides more and better care to a wider range of people than can be accomplishes by an all-public or all-private system.

Just click on every link you find, watch/read them, critique them. Only way we will get anywhere.

I don't really have time to watch a 6 part documentary. I'd like to suggest videos aren't allowed. Old tv shows really wouldn't be accepted as academic, and I don't see what's wrong with articles and studies. They are much more concise and to the point, and are generally much more reliable.
