Ever watch a movie or read a book where the story was good, but then the ending is horrible.
I watched the second season of The Colony on Discovery, and this season was really good (that is if you watched it, if you didn't it's be like "OMG we just found a can of old food! and you'd think these people were sick)
Anyway, they had an awesome finale but then I wanted to know what happened (in other words, it left me hanging)

"Paranormal Activity" had a rather dumb ending and an even stupider alternate ending. I don't see how it was even considered "one of the scariest movies of all time"...

Amen to that, and to make things worse, Paranormal Activity 2 comes out this month, or the next I can't remember.

[/quote] I'm starting to get a bad habit of putting the quotes in bold.

There are movies with worse ending than the, "The Book Of Eli", but yeah, it has a pretty terrible ending in general.

Meh, I can't really even think of one that had a great ending to begin with. It seems like movies are inherently flawed in their endings. They try so hard to leave room for sequels that they not only ruin the finality of the movie you're watching, but create a situation where the sequel must be, by necessity of the ending of it's predecessor, inherently corny. This is probably why I greatly prefer books to modern film.

Try Memento. It is written and directed by Christopher Nolan (the same guy who did Inception). It has a very unsatisfying ending because it doesn't close all the narrative possibilities but in a way leaves open to interpretation. Memento>Inception.

Can't wait to laugh at people punching themselves in the face for no reason at all. Again.

But, they said it was going to be actually SCARY. I doubt that tho.

@delossantosj isn't The Mist that scary movie based off of a Stephen King novel? I remember I thought it was a good movie until the end. The ending made me depressed. :P

Omg, Frailty was one of the greatest movies I've ever seen until the ending. I mean, who wrote it? M. Night Shyamalan? Come on. It was moral and everything until...agh.

OH!!!! the mist had a fantastic ending

If this is sarcasm I'll apologize for the following fail I'm giveing you.

Fail. Fail. Fail. The Mist has a terrible ending! I've read the short story and THAT ending was fantastic. But the movie ending was just awful, it followed the story for the most part and I really enjoyed it, but then the ending...uhg I wanted to shoot myself. The endig was a complete 180 on the story itself.

And while we're on Stephen King and bad endings let's talk about The Shinning movie. THAT was another failtastic ending, in fact the whole movie was failtastic if we compare it to the book. Even as a movie it isn't all that great. Sure the camera shots are cool, but that's about it.

And speaking of books let's talk about King's latest novel Under the Dome. Now usually King writes a good story with a satisfying ending. I managed to drag myself 250 pages in and then predicted how everything panned out. And I was oh so right.
