Y'know, since we define space as 'anything outside our atmosphere (usually adding - that isn't filled with stars or planets but that isn't a necessary part to add)' you fail.

Well maybe we need to redefine the definition "space"

What Avorne pointed out is correct. Also, we already have a very good estimate of where the edge of the universe is, and beyond that it's impossible to say. I would imagine that there is pure nothingness beyond our universe, no matter, no energy, nothing. Not even subatomic particles. If our universe is the result of an expansion of all matter which was condensed into a singularity then it would stand to reason that beyond our universe there is no matter of any kind.

Yet, there is still the theory of the multiverse, where our universe isn't the only one in the great outer space.

Compare those two things. Wouldnt it be amazing to see something just filled with pure nothingness. Not boring. How many people have seen and stared into pure nothingness. Id do anything to see that.
Or maybe you guys are just too serious and im a dreamer

Perhaps. Pure nothingness would be neat I suppose, since it doesn't actually exist in our universe.

I just saw a Levi's commercial and it had a great point:

"People think there aren't frontiers anymore. They can't see how frontiers are all around us."

Space the final frontier is the topic? No?

My post clearly was about space not being the final frontier (indirectly saying so anyhow). So I believe that is on-topic. No?

True. But next time at least use a little more direct approach or explain what you mean. Cause i thought:Levis What the fuck does that have to do with space

Actually the 'multiverse' is a hypothesis, not a theory. And I would tend to disagree with nearly all models of the 'multiverse' due to the sheer absurdity and lack of evidence for many of them, although there are some models of a multiverse which do seem to make sense to me, obviously given my rather scarce understanding of physics and cosmology, however I'm rectifying that with further education into these subjects.

Well I see where you are coming from but then again I did add the quote about frontiers.

Proving and exploring other universes would be an incredible feat for man. But this arises a set of ethical questions:

If the Multiverse theory is true, then the universe in which we travel to, will probably will not be on the same time frame as us. It would be either us visiting the Roman Empire today or if the Romans were able to travel to today's time. Would it be fair to wreck their universe in benefit of ours?

I'm not sure that "nothingness" can be viewed. That seems contradictive.

(Yes. I know that isn't a word)

More on topic. I was thinking beyond physical. Maybe, metaphysical. The final frontier could be waking up to find you're a brain in a vat.
