I'm not sure that "nothingness" can be viewed. That seems contradictive.

Imagine this. Youve waited 50 years(example) to get to this "nothingness zone"
and you wake up with everything transparent except your space ship and crew member and there is absolutely nothing at all. This is my view of how nothingess would look or more "feel" like.

The final frontier could be waking up to find you're a brain in a vat.

Not this again Neo.....

What would nothingness look like? If there is nothing, then there is no transparancey even. There would be no light to see by, no matter to hear sound through save your ship. Perhaps its simply intangible to us humans so that we wouldn't even be aware of it.

Let me go further, Crazy got a post in that I didn't get to read.

I say that "nothingness" is defined as non-existent. Nothing is the lack of color, shape, size, etc. If "something" lacks all qualities, in my mind, it cannot exist.

would say that "nothingness" is defined as non-existent. Therefore, it...uhh...does not exist.

So it would be intangible, unable to be detected by human senses. So what if there is nothingness all around us, but we cannot see it? Then we live in our minds, and that is the final frontier.

Essentially, this is what I were I was going. It has to be something metaphysical.

Then its all application of solipsism. Are we all sharing the same artificial reality?

Who says we're even organic lifeforms? Perhaps it's a shared robotic delusion - we could all just be a pile of nuts and screws.

Touche! You get an automatic "like" from me for using solipsism, today! I love skepticism!

I'm certainly a nut - although my Asexuality is proof that I'm not that into screws.

Yet, there is still the theory of the multiverse, where our universe isn't the only one in the great outer space.

Some models of a multiverse wouldn't be leaving space and entering another.

Yes if nothing was observable then it would no longer be nothing.

So what if there is nothingness all around us, but we cannot see it?

This implies true nothingness is something.

Usually when we refer to nothing we are speaking of a void, however this technically isn't nothing as true nothingness can't even be emptiness.

That's what i'm saying. Its intangible, so we would not be able to percieve it even if it was all around us. That would be paradoxical, however; how can there be nothing and something at the same time? I guess i'm just going in circles....
