I've been thinking of time travel latly and I found aninteresting link explaining the theory of time travel. What do you think?

Now the probleme is that if time travel existe why isn't humans from the future visiting us? Are they only able to travel to the future?
My final question is: If you could travel trough what would you do? I (like most ppl with some knoledge of WWII) would kill Hitler.

Time travel = dangerous. Don't do it.

Period.

for all you who want to kill hittler, hittler beat you to it. here is what i think the past happened therefore can not be changed. basicly whatever happened happened. if you jump up in front of lets say you jump in front of the guy who killed martin luther king jr. and you get hit instead the guy will just fire another bullet or if some guy killed your mom you go to try to kill him first you'll get hit by a subway on your way there. the point is it happened in the past its been written out its been done same with the future. whatever you try to do it won't work no matter what.

@Peter20

Your example is not that good. If you would die in the past catching a bullet for Martin Luther King, Gandhi, JFK...you would die.

If you die in the past, you will be erased from existence in the future. And who knows what would happen then? Maybe you was the one that had the faith of saving the Earth from a World War?

Time travel = dangerous. Don't do it.

Period.

Double period. [I know what you're thinking, seriously, DON'T]

According to the theory of general relativity if traversable wormholes exist, they could permit time travel.

Therefore if some day scientist create a traversable wormhole, then time travel (perhaps) will be possible.

@kfk
no because you traveled to the past which madce the pastyour prestent years didn't get erased from your life because you in a different era its the people from your era's past but your present it was once your past but was changed to your present because you traveled to the past in your future like if you travel on the same train for your whole life then uswiched trains you'd still be on a train just a different one. lets say you go back to 1992 in 2015 and stay there until it's 1993 then go back it'd be 2016 time would continue even if your not in it. time won't wait for you it goes on by itself believe it or not the future has already happenedbecause your in the past of the future make sence? probally not.

Yes, my post didn't make sense. but what you said at the and is wrong..

When you travel back to the future, you will probably travel back to the moment you went back in time in the future...

But still, paradoxes, if I die in the past but I save JFK for example, or if he dies yet again...that may lead to the conclusion that you were never born, even just moving the path of a tiny insect could change the faith of the world,, who knows? Maybe a butterfly would blocj´k that sight of the assassin and save JFK and then you never get born in the future...

if you go back in time and change somthing, the whole world
whould change, ex: if you go back in time, and kill hitler 50,000,000 people will still be alive, and by now there will be 20 or 30 million people on earth.
but that cant happen becuse

it happened in the past its been written out its been done same with the future. whatever you try to do it won't work no matter what.

so even if you killed hitler, some other person will kill the 50,000,000.
and another thing. even if you change the past, you wont be able to go back to your time, and if you do, nothing you changed is still done.

I think time travel is impossible, due to the fact that we're constantly living in the present. If you were to travel back in time, and then "return to the present", it would no longer be considered the present, since time continues to move. Teleportation, on the other hand, seems a lot more likely. But transportation through time seems highly improbable

Yes, I knew no one would get that.

But let's say it's May 5034, 12:00 (I'll do this in 24h clock if that's alright) when you go back in time to for example stop an eventual "World War 27", you go back in time and when you've completed the task...you'll probably set the time of returning at, May 5034, 12:00.

Nearly the exact same time you left.

I've always had seen movies and read books like that. When people return to the exact moment they left.
What I question is that do they return to the age they were at that moment in time or will their age continue to stay the same?
