If your talking about the threads in this section then you may want to make note that a majority of the threads in this forum are being locked by cormyn who is more then willing to give reasons for why each one is getting locked. If you are talking about mods doing this in general then I would suggest you go with what Graham said.

And anyway Alexander, I know you're new, but it's pretty obvious that the mods are knowing what they are doing and they are handling the site as much as they can. Give them credit at least.
It is simple. When a thread is locked for some aren't-so-obvious reasons, the mod will usually explain why.

When a thread, especially yours, is locked, it is wise to learn why. Learn from your and everyone else's mistakes and put it to good use.
In future religious/scientific discussions, please try and be more objective and learn/CC what others have to say.

As far as I could tell from the threads, your point stands that the various concepts of evolution lacked in both evidence and could not prove any of the natural occurrences. Others, especially NoName who locked your thread, stated that, even though you yourself know what the principles of Evolution are, they believe you don't. Various text from both you and the 2nd parties can attest to this.
While I believe you understand the concepts of Evolution, what I also believe is that you cannot grasp the process of how it occurs. Evolution is no day-by-day change. It occurs over tens of thousands, even millions of years, with gradual changes. The process in which animals change over that time period is most definitely configured via DNA. But DNA doesn't know which traits are great for survival. That's what the intelligences of the organism itself is for.
NoName and other mods most certainly do have the business to lock threads. That's their job. It is their job to lock/delete/move/sticky/edit threads with reasons in which they feel justifies their actions. They don't all follow an algorithm, mind you; they have their own biases and misconceptions about threads, though the decision they come up with is generally positive.
You are not the first to criticize NoName's decisions, by the way.
I'll put it as simply as possible for you Alexander. The thread turned into a flame war against you because of your position. The moderator recognized this, and since there was no true debate going on, probably felt it best to stop the flame war before it got out of hand.
Also, when a moderator locks your topic it is usually inadvisable to remake the same topic that just got locked. If you have an issue with it your best bet is to talk politely to the moderator who locked your thread to understand why they did it.
well in all the other forums i have been in, the mods are "all powerfull with the forum" they have the right to lock the forum with on reson at all!! if it is lock it is locked.
and it seem that such things as religious/scientific should not be descussed on this site, at all it is not that type of site it is a game site we all have an opion and it should not be faght about on this site!! and so you now i don't agree with eveltion so i'm not trying to bash you or any evaltionist or creationist on the site it is opinion and should not be on a game site unless this is an only this religin or scientific belife , and the site does (of what i know) say that.
