Is it just me,or is Cartoonnetwork becoming lamo on making good, quality shows?Think about it-"Mad","Adventure Time","Regular Show",they're all so random. Not to mention another one coming out in a few weeks. The only epic shows that have come out this year are "Generator Rex","Unatural History",and the upcoming "Tower Prep"series.
Cartoon Network's certainly seen better days. While they still have some quality shows here and there, the proliferation of live action disturbs me. Other stations are rising to compete with them again in the cartoon market, which may not be a bad thing at all.
Now, they still have some good work. Brave and the Bold is awesome for any comics afficianados. Man of Action is putting out some good shows. Venture Brothers continues to rock. Their anime line up is a bit light, as is their comedy line up; their 15 minute block format for the latter seems to be derived from Adult Swim's success with that, and is a bit scattered at times. A lot of their cartoons work on a higher level for older folks, which is something that cartoons have done for ages, to be honest.
I do notice that some people are listing old cartoons from Nick and other stations as CN, though. Ren and Stimpy was never CN.
cartoon network used to be the best. ed edd and eddy, dexter's lab and TOONAMI were my favorite programs. those shows were awesome. now the shows just suck. i miss the old days
wo ya i agree i pretty much hate cartoon network now. i loved it when ed edd n eddy and fosters home and all those shows were on. i really think flapjack, chowder, even star wars and the others are really pretty bad.
I never liked Toonami. It might just be that I'm older and don't like the cartoons as much, but I agree. CN is getting bad. If you've got to watch cartoons, Nicktoons is still reasonably on board with the cool stuff(Avatar The Last Airbender, Invader Zim, etc.), but Cartoon Network is just...blegh. I used to like Scooby Doo, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Danny Phantom, The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, and Dexter's Laboratory. Now, well, I just don't watch that channel anymore because they pulled all the good shows! =(
Actually, you're thinking backwards, Generator Rex Sucks. And unnatural history DEFINATELY SUCKS. MAD isn't that great, but adventure time, and chowder are 100% win.
The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy scared me. Of course, I last watched that show when I was about 7, so....
Didn't they have Jimmy Neutron? I loved that show. Unfortunately, they replaced it with that other dude from the show. I can't remember his name. It's still ok, but Jimmy Neutron was better.
I actually don't watch TV anymore, so I guess I shouldn't say much. But Cartoon Network is horrible now. They took all of the good shows off.
Nothing has been good on there since Ed, Edd, and Eddy, in my opinion.
True. The only cartoons I watch are Ed, Edd, and Eddy and SpongeBob SquarePants. (I know SpongeBob is Nickelodeon.)
I saw my cousin's cousin's son watching a cartoon this Thanksgiving. Quality has dropped tremendously. That was the most pointless and retarded cartoon I've ever seen.
You hear some of the language they're using in robotomy or Regular Show? I'd never expect CN to remove Dextars Lab (too long ago for me to remember if it was specifically on CN) who says Stoooopid all the time and eventually have ones saying 'Pissed off' and 'we're screwed'.
Cartoon Network is a fond memory that shouldn't be revisited in reality. It's like getting excited for a n64 game you used to love as a kid and realize the graphics and game play are crappy.
ok so cartoonnetwoork has gone horrid, their idea of a "good" show is dumb, come on, Flapjack i could actually stand, hated it, but there was a target audience, but MAD is beyond dumb, as is Adventure Time and that STUPID freaking camp show, i dont even remember what it was called. now i am only 15, but i remember when i was 4, staying up all night to watch "bad shows" like Gundum, i mean come on, the worst thing on adult swim was that show with the hamburger/shake/and fry, and gundum, now you have shows that have no point, just to say curse words like that is funny at all. Dexter was awesome, they used to have dragon ball and DBZ, that was cool, i liked the flintstones(boomerang) and jetsons, but cartoonnetwork could have been "good" depending on who you were, but they suck now. this is a rundown of their shows the last 10 years: 2000: dexter, powerpuff girls, cow and chicken 2001: sheep in the big city, grim and evil, time squad 2002: samurai jack, robot jones, KND 2003: grim adventures of billy and mandy, fosters, evil con carne 2005: camp lazlo, my gym partners a monkey, ben 10 2006: squirrel boy, class of 3000 2007: chowder, transformers 2008: ben 10 alien force, flapjack, secret saturdays, 2010: adventure time, ben 10 ultimate alien, generator rex, regular show, MAD
now if you were a kid growing uo with this, or had kids growing up thru this, you know that these shows got more and more pointless and without a taget audience, cartoonnetwork has gotten to the point where it is losing fans. really these new shows are lame,
