The World Series starts on Wednesday, October 27th, 2010 7:57pm ET. Giants vs Rangers. I would've liked Giants vs. Yankees but I guess it wasn't meant to be. That doesn't mean it won't be an interesting game. After all, the Giants beat the Phillies as favorites. :P

The Giants win Game 1 with 11 to 7! I can't believed Lincecum got taken out mid-inning. The later innings were terrible. Dang. The last one was almost a disaster.
Yeah, I agree with Ernie, both teams have the ability to go win this thing. They were both upstarts who weren't even supposed to make the postseason (I'm still fuming over the G-Men beating my Padres for the NL West), and both mangers on either side should be front-runners for Manager of the Year. I've always been a HUGE fan of the Bruce Bochy-led Padres, and have respected him ever since he took the job for the division rivals. In my opinion, he is the best manager in the National League, and his Giants team has the talent to win him that ring that San Diego never could win him.
