So I'm doing this school assignment for Geography, it's really easy and such and it's about endangered animals. I've gone out of my way to choose an animal (the Night Parrot) which has estimated 50 left in the world along with limited information and recorded sightings. Because of this, I can't answer half of what this assignment is about. I could easily scrap all this and start all over, but I don't really want to. Lazy, whatever >_>
So when have you gone out of your way, deliberately or not, and made something freakin' impossible for yourself?
Well, one time (recently actually) I procrastinated on a chemistry lab report for a very long time. I had 5 days to do it, and I waited until 12:00 the night before it was due. I ended up staying up until 5:30 in order to get it done. I got 1 hour of sleep and when I woke up, I felt completely awake (which isn't normal at all). Then I crashed around 4th period that day and completely blacked out in my latin class. I got a detention for it. Then I blacked out again in 5th period. The teacher is pretty lax, so she didn't care much.
Well, most days I wait until the last day to finish all my projects and homework. That still happens sometimes.
Oh I remember something now. I was doing this science project where you had to make a brochure and PowerPoint about metals, nonmetals, and metalloids (this was in the 6th grad) examples and properties. The class had five days to work on it and I hadn't got anything done on the 5th day so I had messily put something together. Turns out I got a B+.
In end, over-ambitious plans often threaten to derail me completely. Has happened multiple times. I've always succeeded though.. at least in everything mandatory.
Right Pazx, scrap the hell out of it. Kill it with fire and start over again.
Oh man. I usually do the opposite of what you folks do. From what you guys posted, you get it done in the last minute, I get it done immediately. Well ya know what? That ALSO screws you over. If I could just put the daggum assignments somewhere where they don't get swept into the trash bin, I wouldn't be venting right now.....
When I'm a manipulative internet so-and-so and my 'rojects' end up actually feeling deep affection for me. That really ruins a guys day when he has to deal with people that are so clingy.
I screw myself over because I'm extremely lazy. I take honors classes and this year is supposed to be the most important (junior year) because that's when the colleges start looking at your transcript, so being lazy isn't exactly working out for me. In fact, I should be doing math homework right now.
I told my boss I wasn't at work one day because I was ill, only to be seen live as part of the crowd at a Tottenham game. It wasn't really my fault (at least in the sense that I didn't try and get myself filmed) but I was in deep, deep trouble for it.
The contract lists the price "As appraised", which is likely to fall in my favor and not all that uncommon.
The "screwed" part comes in when the seller, whom I am friendly with, realizes that I'm not willing to let them out of the contract because it came in lower than they expected and makes me have to be the bad guy and probably lose a friendship in the process of enforcing the contract they signed.

D:
I usually stash my work in a folder in my bag.
My teachers encourage that and I've never really bothered to until my Japanese exercise book fell apart because of all the loose sheets and posters and whatnot.
Reminds me of the time I was doing that essay. I shouldn't of chose platinum for my element.
I did finish with the best looking one though. I also spent the entire night working on some freaking indigenous people's essay.
At least in the end the results pay off... Kinda.

I usually just stuff it all in the bag. When I forget something, it's usually because I removed it from there and forgot to put it back in.
Good luck by the way.
then we did a research paper on it. turns out. no one knows FOR SURE yet.
