Well, I'm in Band, play Percussion, and I love band music. If you play Band or Orchestra, what song did you like that you played of listened?

For me, it is:

Into The Storm by Robert W. Smith
Rampage by Todd Stalter
Air for Band by Frank Erickson
Lassus Trombone by Henry Fillmore

You?

well im not sur if this counts, but i was part part of the guitar section in an orchestra presentation of Kashmir by Led Zeppelin, like it was a FULL orchestra, and Robert Plant's voice was played by a kid on an electric iddle as he walked around the crowd in the auditorium. that was pretty awesome...

I am in my 4th year of middle school orchestra, and I'm aiming for the concert orchestra (middle-level) for my freshman year. 2nd violin. As far as overall sound goes, I really like Gauntlet by Doug Spata, Telemann Sinfonia by someone, and Hunting the Wild Beast by someone. None of the songs are particularly difficult, but they sound amazing with a full orchestra.

I LOVE Unraveling by Andrew Boysen Jr.. I was prestigious enough to be in Honor Band in highschool and had the chance to meet this conductor. We actually played this song with HIM conducting. We also shared some band lore and ultimately learned a few things. This is the best kick-ass song I have ever had the pleasure of playing with a talented band.

Oh and you have to input a code to listen to it.

I was in band for eight years from fifth grade all the way up untill college, and I played percussion (the BEST section) lol. Some of my favorites were October - by Eric Whitacre, The Cowboys Overature - by John Williams, and Tilting At Windmills, but I forgot who the composure was for that piece :/ I miss band soooo much...

Slurs are all about relaxation and control. They click after a while. also, that was interesting . . . .

OOOHOOHOOH there was also this beautiful variant of Greensleeves that we played for a Christmas concert . . . I can't remember the song itself, but it was called Variant on an Old English Carol. There's a band version on youtube, but the orchestra score is just so much better than the band one from what I can tell.

You haven't lived till you played the actual version of Greensleeves. For band or orchestra depending on what you play. We made some of the audience cry with that piece XP
