Are you talking about a survival mode? If so that would be a good idea but kind of unnecessary. John does need to fix the flag problem though since if you run too fast through a flag it doesn't register you and if you die then you'll have to restart and that gets really annoying. I just like the idea of making the maps bigger and longer by conjoining them together. It would make them more unique too.
