If the word is slutty, then I say yes Wolf. As for the OP, it's almost always an indication of trashiness in my opinion.

Totally trashy. I mean, they are going to throw them out frequently anyways. See what I did there? So, why thongs? Why not regular girl's underwear?

So yeah, in light of Girls' Day, this is going to be complicated, since more of the population has female armatars. Erm, can we get some female insight here? That would be nice. I don't wanna sound too biased.

Yep...pretty "trashy", I would say. But what most of us would define as trashy is now becoming more acceptable. As "trashy"(slutty) celebrities become more and more popular, and more and more girls look up to them, the lower the standards will be for appropriate dress. Skinny jeans are the "modest" look. Short skirts, mini skirts, and skinny jeans are the norm, but I think most girls draw the line at whale tails.
So...what us girls would consider trashy, most dudes would consider hot I would think, because it's trashy.

I have spotted a few girls with aforementioned "whale-tails" whom I knew (or believed) to be not trashy, of course that's to point out exceptions (or my lack of judgement). Most girls don't like wearing g-strings, they can't believe such a contraction could ever be comfortable, hence they've declined sharply in popularity to be largely replaced by hipsters and boy-briefs, which I suspect is popular because you can't see them from under low-riding jeans.

And here I was thinking "...whale tails? Is this a car modification thread or something, coz that kind of kit is a serious piece of work":
