Yeah uhh...I got a big monitor that hooks up to my computer. It's a widescreen, so it gets about 1920x16something. It gets pretty...difficult to play games that have buttons like Free Rider, because they are pretty small. Really, trying to create ramps to me is like threading a needle.

So my question for those that also have big screens: can there be a way to increase the resolution of the game to have it compliment the size of your monitor? I don't want to manually zoom in and it doesn't exactly work for me to have a full screen link, because it's not very pretty. Taking a 450 and enlarging it to 1920 is like...wow. I'm also not even sure if I'm suggesting an idea or complaining lol

So maybe have a link somewhere on the page where you can click to increase the resolution to the proper size, or have the AG developers implement this option in their games. It gets to the point where my pointer is as big as the character I'm playing XD

Uh, the &quotroper" size is the size when it loads on the page... ;o)

Hold CTRL and scroll your mouse wheel. Modern browsers should resize Flash along with everything else on the page. Or hit CTRL-PLUS (+) to do it too. You can hit CTRL-ZERO (0) to return to "normal" size.

But I don't wanna do that...

Also I tried that out, especially on Free Rider. It enlarges everything BUT the game. Which is odd. What I would like is to increase the size of the game whilst retaining the aliasing of said game, therefore the resolution increase idea.

I suddenly have a Justin Timberlake song stuck in my head ("cry me a river...&quot Kidding, my friend, kidding.

Which browser are you using where it does NOT zoom the Flash game? Which version of Flash do you use, and which platform (Mac/PC?) We should maybe move this over to the support forum?

I know John (jmtb02) has a way on his Mac to zoom his entire screen so *everything* zooms in ... not just the browser, any app. Not sure if there's a PC equivalent, but I imagine there is.

The down side to allowing you to zoom your Flash game, without zooming the entire page, is that the whole page layout will look all crazy. Technically, it'd be possible to detect your screen resolution and scale the game accordingly, but I'm not sure how willing the team would be to build this idea because it'll throw everything else off.

Just use a small monitor like the rest of the world, show off. ;o)
(I should speak, I work on two 27" flatscreens)

I think Faith Hill had a song like that but I'm not sure. I'm not too into my pop

I'm using the latest FireFox browser on the PC.

Actually...I think what the problem is is that not all games do this. SonnyII zoomed along with the page, Freerider2 didn't (it just stayed the same while everything else got bigger), so...Not sure why some work and some don't. Would it have to do with the age of the game itself?

Anywhoo...you know my idea, I'm still sticking with it, as stubborn as I am ;P I'm willing to yield if you guys put in a more conspicuous "full screen" link or something on the game page. We had to find that booger!

I also use a 32" I believe. 2 and a half of my feet fit, so it's around there. But the resolution is phenomenally big.

If you go to your computer's graphic options and you have your laptop hooked up to your monitor, you can choose the screen default output. I'm not sure which program you have, so I can't be too specific though :P

Games have their sizes. Some applications expand when you enlarge the window, some stay same. Some of them act weird, such as main character being able to leave game area and such. It's dependent on how the games are made. Also most of them will run slower when you zoom in, which also affects gameplay. ( Your top speed is reduced on Neon Rider when you zoom in, you can't jump the same distance you normally would, for example. )

Anyway, there's nothing ArmorGames can do about this. They can do some stuff of course, but it won't be any different than doing CTRL +/- zoom. You need to lower your resolution, or use some software.
