Yet another ''What's your favorite book (s)'' thread.
I'd have to go with either Siddhartha or Steppenwolf, both from Hermann Hesse. In fact, Hermann Hesse is pretty much my favorite author in terms of esoteric and spiritual novels.
I love almost anything written by Stephen King, though the Dark Tower series is my favorite, and I recommend those books above all his others (which are also awesome). I loved the Bartimaeus Trilogy, The Demonata series, the Harry Potter books, the Inheritance (Eragon, etc...) series, and also many of the Magic the Gathering Books (I was very surprised by how good they were, having bought my first one out of bored curiosity, but quickly came to like the interweaving stories and interesting style). I also like Forrest Griffin's "Got Fight?" which is an excellent book for any guy to read, very funny and great for MMA fans. Sadly, I have become addicted to the computer and my reading has greatly declined.
i called it grammar fail! it's "What is your favorite book?"
Or he didn't hit the 's' key hard enough when naming the thread, which would make it "What are your favorite books". We shall never know.
@OP: Pretty much anything by Stephen King, Anne Rice, Carl Sagan, Isaac Asimov, Orson Scott Card, Terry Brooks, umm.. I'll stop the list there. I have literally hundreds of favorites, and I own almost all of them.
I am a fan of Stephen King myself. At this point, of all the books I have read, I would say that my favorite 'Salems Lot. However, I have not even read all of the Stephen King books that I own, so that is subject to change.
