I dunno man, if you gave Renamon hair and changed its colour scheme, you'd have something pretty similar to what Freakenstein just posted. Just saying.

Just for the sake of argument I guess...

Given the rules Strop posted, the similarity would still be 30% at the most....meaning that only a third of the character buildup is strikingly-similar. That's still pretty big, but....

What I'm comparing is the artwork. If you pair gen4 and gen1 with the same gradients, then you would have nothing to complain about.

We're comparing everything but the artwork.

I fell in love with pokemon in the great Sapphire/Ruby age when I got Ruby. Nothing lasts forever including love. I stopped playing after some years. Then I got hooked again with Diamond. That died down pretty **** fast. I have recently once again regained my love for Ruby and play it almost daily on my old Game Boy. After reading this thread I decided to look through some of the new pokemon from Black and White,(and maybe some Diamond/Pearl) and compare them to some of my Ruby favorites. These are my results.

First up, Legendaries.

Ruby : Groudon (of course)

Black and White : Zekrom

Next we have starters.

Ruby : Mudkip
