Most of occidental armies don't use AK-47. Is it just because it came from communist conception? I don't know, but since US army and other members of NATO do not use AK-47 and are kicking ***** everywhere to people who are trying to fight back with AK-47, I guess I would prefer have an M16.
Off topic: It was a Soviet weapon, so NATO wouldn't have been using it. Derp. And no, lots of East European countries currently use it, or a variant of it.
And the reason why they ''kick butt'' everywhere is more to do with training and their artillery/armor/planes/drones. The AK 47 is still a good decent rifle.
in rl AK-47: no matter what terain or weather, your gun will be working.
I'll go with the Ak-47 because of its reliability.
I am not an expert on this, but with a quick research on the net, I found that most of this countries are not using AK-47 as service rifle presently. Look, I am not an expert on what every army use as weapon, if you are sure from your sources then it is my mistake.
Ak47 is good for gunning and running with its high abillity to spray and high damage rate although it's terrible for being accurate. While the M16 is accurate and is good for defending poitions in defences and attacking games but it's bad if somebody comes close to you
