I noticed there are a lot of score board hackers on this site, as well as lots of people giving games bad reviews, despite the game they are reviewing being very complex and well made. Its hard for any game that doesn't contain zombies to get over a 7 in score.

I propose that there be some factor that limits who can join and have posting/rating/scoring rights on Armor Games.

If this continues, people are going to stop hosting their games here; for fear that their work will get 'blammed' for no apparent reason. These games mean a lot to programmers, as they are sometimes their ticket into working for a profession design company. These games are also the bread and butter of this website, the only thing giving it hits and advertising money.

If people stop hosting their games here because of the thousnads of "QQ games too haaaaaaarrrrrrddd i have teh doooo somethang" and "liek this game is make my brain hurt" comments... This website is out of business. Also, the widespread hacking could make people think this website is unstable, and make the players think it is unfair.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who will take long breaks from this website, to get away from these aggravating problems.

Thanks for your thoughts. The next version of the web site will allow other users to vote up/down other users' comments/reviews, so the best content will be more visible, while bad comments are buried or deleted.

As far as restricting users, the only requirement we have on joining the site is that you're at least 13 years old, and can follow the rules of the site. You must be a registered member, and logged in, in order to rate games and leave comments.

For the games that get "hacked", that sort of thing is really up to the game developer. We can erase the hacked scores when we're aware of them. Whether we go so far as to track down the offending users and ban them from the site is still in the discussion phase. Ideally, we'd keep those people off the site. However, it's also up to the game developers themselves to ensure that data transfer between their game and our site is secure, so it's harder for someone to steal their SWF, decompile it, and figure out how to send bogus scores to us in the first place.

Seems to me, that'll just mean the mobs of people who just post to complain will get lots of thumbs up. I really don't know what these people are expecting; a studio quality game for free? They get that sometimes, and they still complain.

Really, the whole "game is too hard" comments need to stop. Skill is relative. There is no such thing as "too hard". If you aren't good at a game, don't blame the game. Play it and you'll get better. They expect an instant win. I'll make a game that's just a big "you won!" button that you have to press.

That's quite intriguing since there are many games above 7.0/10 that aren't zombie-related games. Eventually, all the ratings will even out and show what the flash game really deserved. With all the games that received 100K+ plays, it's a safe bet that there could have been at least 10,000 ratings. Now, there aren't many people that think as you have described, and if there was, their ratings would just blend in with the others. It really isn't that much of a bad thing.

Im not sure if you have heard of a program called cheat engine. If you have seen the scores on boxhead:The zombie wars, all of those were from cheat engine.
