Hmm...this is just Master Chief and Samus in general, but I believe this will do better in The Video Games forum. This is only so you can get more of the same audience there and that they don't have to flip-flop between forums to discuss game characters.
Id have to go with the Chief. Hes a spartan, he was made to withstand pain and sacrifice. AND he has an energy shield and some pretty epic guns (grav ham, plasma cannon,etc). Samus has her suit, some missles and a whip-thingy. So, to summarize, Chief would win.
no and a dark cannon,light cannon,normal cannon the suit doubles as a fast ball which drops bombs and her helmet also is a scanner
I think Master Chief because he can use equipment and he can use rockets to if he use a rocket launcher and he got fabulous strength. He can use every vehicles and weapon even if he never have seen it before. He can even break vehicles whit the bare hands.

Didn't Ridley **** up her home planet,killed her parents and made her an orphan to be raised by bird people? I'd be dropping a load in my pants everytime I see that god**** space pirate. Also remember that this was the first time they gave Samus a voice and........emotions
Considering the time line, Samus has already resolved her problems with Ridley.
She solved her problems the first time she killed him. If she didn't, the second...third...fourth. The point is, she's already had her revenge. THE Ridley is dead.
Master Chief may be a stock character, but he didn't have a negative derogatory personality given to him - Just cliche
