Yeah the more you post the more times your armatar will show up in the forums. I don't think I considered that. There only so many to choose from though, so of course repeats are bound to happen.

Yeah, it is possible. Firetail has over 19,000 posts. And with more posts you have, more your armatar is seen. But it is not necessary to post a lot to have a overused armatar. For example, those guys with the colored shields and 10 posts.
Honestly I don't see why people frequently change their armatars. I always thought the whole point of an avatar was to give a picture association with the screenname and person posting in the threads?
You start to recognize who a user is by their armatar. If you have a bit of an over used one, but have had it for a while, stick with it and make it yours.
It's like if McDonalds changed their golden arches symbol because other places have arches. Could you imagine a name brand that changed the symbol or logo every week? You wouldn't ever have any idea who they were. You wouldn't recognize the brand. It would be bad advertising. The only way it could work is if some part of the logo remained the same or very similar.
The problem with sticking with an Armatar is that it takes a long time to unlock all of them. Although I suppose you could always simply take a look around and find out all that there is before deciding.

I did forget about that. But you can still stick with one for awhile before you make a change to a higher valued one. And then stick with one or two higher valued ones.

I think it's fun to change them, just to try out new things. I like a lot of the armatars, so I want to use them all. I don't really care if people mistake me, it's atually quite funny. xD
I'm NEVER changing mine > EEEYYYEEE made it :P so it's original enough.. it was like... two years ago... water sucks buuuttt... It's so co-MINE! MUAHAHAHAHA... Oh yeah... but seriously DOT DOT DOT I hate the sheilds >.>
I'm going to stick with the lion for a while. Soon enough it'll be my signature Armatar. I don't expect to change it any time soon. But, I liked changing mine quite often to just see how they looked in the forums.
