I would just like to see the different views held by the different groups of people here as they are very diverse in their beliefs

My above post is worded poorly. I meant that it's better to attempt to refute your own instead of assuming that you can refute your opponent's argument.

What Avorne means, is he is spamming.

Yes, that's what I meant, I perhaps shouldn't of said it in such a long winded manner but I wanted to convey my desire to tackle any points that a member of the opposing viewpoint may make.

What makes it wrong and why should they be committed to just one person?

How can you tell if one of them isnt in it just for the benefits.

Your not making any sense. What does it matter why someone is in such a relationship so long as all parties involved are okay with it?

So long as your partners are also fine with that arrangement then I don't see what's wrong.

I don't think it's necessarily wrong. However, when women are forced into it in such groups as the FLDS, I have a huge problem with it. I watched Sister Wives this fall though, and I loved the show. I don't think if it's done in that way that there's any problem with it. Their children aren't pressured into it and in fact one daughter said that she never could, and her parents are fine with that.

I think it's not bad. It's just having one spouse except you have more....

I don't really care if they do. Personally, though, I find it gross and unnatural

Really? It's theorized that humans used to live in 'Promiscuous hordes' before the development of marriage or the nuclear family - that's not even mentioning any of the other animal species that work in polyamorous groups.
