Why is the fact that he's muslim so important?

You asked for my thoughts and that's the first that sprung to mind.

Because if it wasn't it would have just been a bombing but now that he's a Muslim we should probably go invade his country, wait ****, that's the US.

Obviously this is a bad thing, there really isn't a heck of a lot to discuss though.

Also, a link to a news-story would be appreciated so that we can get the details.

News it happened a few days ago. Oh look something to actually debate, is it fair for the FBI to give a terrorist items individual believes to be bombs and then blame them for the bomb plot?

well actually he is from somalia, but that is besides the point. You can never generalize a religion for the actions of a few, there are extremists of just about everything imaginable.

Mohammad Mohammad? I always think first and last names that are identical are humorous, regardless of what the name is.

Yeah. Regardless of nationality, culture, religion, ethnicity, all that good stuff, it's a bomb threat, it's a bomber, it needs to be taken care of with no prejudice towards it. That includes generalizing, stereotyping, and discrimination.

I guess the news story says he's Muslim alright. Even so, destroying a function because it's a different religion is so...so...

My question is why the heck would he do it anyways? It's a ******* plot, and I'm very sorry for him to be retarded like that. He thought dialing a phone number on his phone would trigger it.

Really?

He was a self-inspired terrorist. I was near the area when it happened too. The FBI had been tracking him for years, and they set him up with a fake bomb. They even tried to discourage him before-hand. If the bomb was real, the phone dial would have actually worked. There have been several similar FBI successes recently. I don't think we should invade because of it though.

When you Americans man up,and stop bending over to every barbaric cult out there, then you'd be able to stop such attempts taking place in your own country.

I find your ignorance ridiculous, and am really interested to know if you know what barbaric actually means.

Oh, please. You must not live in America.

Crimes are committed all the time, by people of different genders, races, religions and backgrounds. What I wonder is what made this particular event worthy of a forum thread.

Oh, please. You must not live in America.

Great work, Sherlock, how did you come to that conclusion?
