Edited title to clarify the topic a bit (since I assume people who like coffee flavoured things would think those are delicious coffees?).

They... Sound ridiculously unhealthy, but I don't really know about their ways of suggesting alternatives. Since I don't drink coffee at all I don't know how similar the flavours would be, but it seems like a "drink less dessertish coffee" would have been a clearer message than "drink this (still kinda dessertish) coffee instead". :/

Heck yeah!

I'm not a fan of coffee, and I'm especially not a fan of this article. David Zinczenko, you're such a sissy!

(that's as much as in three and a half Twinkies!)

Okay, I have to be fair. This article is aimed at people who are trying to lose weight or those who count calories for one reason or another. If you have no reason to watch your weight, live life a little and take a nice swig of heaven!

Oh well, drinking energy drinks to stay awake isn't much of a better alternative. Actually energy drinks are probably worse with all the sugar, taurine, guarana, etc.

Of course those coffees are bad for your health. That is nothing new. They have tons of calories in them. That is what you get when you use creamers and whole milk.

Like Nemo said, it's directed at those trying to lose that 1.5 pounds in a month. Most things are fine in moderation. The problem is that in America we don't know what that word means.

From time to time, I will drink a flavored coffee like that. But my Dunkin Donuts coffee made at home, that I drink black, isn't horrible for me (granted I don't have heart problems).

Coffee is better than soda and other sugar-caffeine drinks. But those coffee drinks that were in the link had a lot of whipped cream, chocolate, caramel, etc.

Regular coffee is healthier.

I do not really find this surprising at all. I actually have made a habit in the past few months of checking the nutritional facts of whatever I am eating/drinking, and I have pretty much given up all drinks except for water, milk and the occasional Gatorade. The amount of sugar and calories in soft drinks, coffee, and 9% orange juice with 91% high fructose corn syrup is simply amazing.

It's not bad to have them once in a while. They're actually a nice treat.

Still though, I prefer coffee made from my crappy Cuisinart coffee maker (and a Keurig soon. That should be fun!) although I put a lot of cream/sugar in it. One time I put 6 splendas in 1 cup. Not the greatest of ideas.
