Tip one: sinse the high scores do not appear to show the difficulty level you completed the game at, start at easy.
Tip two: seeing that you can get a lot of money by completing tasks, complete your tasks at the same rate they come along. I know that this is much slower than the average person at first, but trust me, it will help keep your money from running out too early in the game.
tip three: always build for the future, always build in patterns that you can remember and repeat. I usually build 5 offices high, and then resteraunts, then gyms. for wide, 2 offices 1 bathroom 2 offices 1 bathroom, pattern, 'till i get to the end, then it's 1 office 1 bathroom because i don't have enough room for the second office. I build my transportation in the bathrooms (weird but works wonders, keeps the noise away from my workers). I hire in a pattern-- bottom level of section is workers, second is IT, third is janitors, etc etc.
if there is a way i can edit my message, I will do so to update this, in the future.
if you make the bathroom in the office, then there is less distance for the worker to go in order to go to the bathroom. beyond the workers, I keep the facilities open for everyone-- purely so the building stays in shape.
if you spend less time in the bathroom, you can spend more time pushing buttons, let's say youve got a 12-hour work day. it takes 10 minutes to go home and to the bathroom (and it's really inconvenient), and another 10 minutes to get back. you have to go every 45 minutes. it takes 5 minutes to go, one of the times you must go it takes 30 minutes (to take a crap).
45 minutes into your work day, you take a 25 minute bathroom break and it is now an hour 10 minutes into the day. 45 minutes later at 1:55, you take another 25 minute bathroom break. you get back and it's 2:20. you have spent nearly an hour not working already. lunch break for 1 hour. 3:30 now (im not really keeping track of what time it is, just how long you have been on the day's job). you take a 50 minute crap break. that is now 2 hours 40 minutes off the job. you have been spinning your wheels for 4 hours 20 minutes now. 45 minutes of work, it is now 5 hours 5 minutes. 25 minute piss break, it is now 5:30. 45 work, 6:15. 25 piss, 6:40. 45 work, 7:25. 25, 7:50. I shall compact this-- 1 hour 10 minutes for each work/piss session. now, 710=9:00, 910=10:10, 1010=11:20, 1110=12:30. they left for home 20 minutes ago, 5 minutes ago was yet another bathroom break.
and now, you install bathrooms the very next day. it takes about 5 minutes for the guy to get up, go to the bathroom, get lost, bump into his boss (spilling his coffee all over him), explain his situation, have the boss take him to the bathroom, and get back to his desk. before it was 25 minutes wasted getting to the bathroom, now it is a fifth of that. now it takes your work/piss sessions about 50 minutes (seeing that you save 20 minutes and that the 5 minutes is the time it takes to do the elaborate go-there, piss, AND get back). you have an immense amount of extra work done each day alone, and that's a bit more money made by each worker (and it works even better than using accountants, but NOT better than using multiple upgraded accountants in advanced accountants' offices)
resteraunts and gyms work the same way. less time spent eating and working out, more time working and more money made as a result. upgraded versions of these keep your people happy-- more money is saved on decoration if you use these upgrades.
ok this isn't helpful at all, since it's obvious you buy the bathroom and gym and restraunt common sense says it takes less time to go potty if it's right there and not at home
I always start on hard (otherwise it's unfun), I don't think toliet is that much of an issue. Did you tried one toliet in the entire building? The number of visit is very low, too low to be a concern. It is like 1/10 of the people need to go there per day. You can simply ignore it and make more offices instead to make up for the 1/10 peoples' loss of work.
The best way to earn money fast is to specialize your workspace and upgrade your guys as soon as possible. You will need 4 supervisors per about 12 workers. One of my first try didn't come out so good (about 200million earnings per day for 400 employees) because I had 4 supervisors per two floors, there are some 20+ workers under each supervisor office, which created inefficiency. When beated by CEO, a fully upgraded worker is capable to make more then a thousand dollar per hit, rolling millions to your coffers easily. Without a high level supervisor it is a hell of a difference.
Ok I made a new block that yields 1.5 billion a day (biggest flyup I saw was around $6000). The biggest yield per day is at least 24 times of this number, amount to 36~40 billion, as I built only 20 floors and the maximum is 120. Doubling the number of floors quadruples the income. The block can still be further refined such that I estimate the maximum income per day is 50 billion.
use the ''cashing in my options'' cheat a couple of times, then buy in a pattern like 3 offices,1 bathroom, 1 gym, etc.do the same for people 3 workers 1 it 1 janitor, etc. repeat and you should be a master button pusher in no time! :-)
I am currently 132nd of all time on easy. Heres my tips. 1)For ever 4 Worker offices, Have 1 It, 2 Janitorial, and A accountant. Upgrade your workers and their offices all the way (Have this done by day 3) and then build up your army of Researchers (You Should of had about 12 this whole time.) If you do this right you should finish on days 6-8.
If you have upgraded offices you don't need much ITs, as you can see in my second block I got only one IT lair in 10 floors (each covering an area of over 80 offices). Lower level offices break down frequently while the highest level almost never. Once you got lift tube you can fire some ITs or move them to the next area.
Also I think a single fully upgraded janitor office can clean about 10 fully trashed offices in one night. One of them per floor is slightly more then enough (the maximum build area is 9 offices per floor). Higher level employee buildup trash faster, so that as you upgrade your people the janitors must be upgraded as well. Also, janitors do not suffer from elevator noise making their office area ideal for placing elevators.
The maximum boost by a single accounting office is 100%! Therefore the number of accountants should be equal to or slightly less then the number of button-pushing workers. However they give significantly less bonus before they are fully upgraded, so that you may hire less of them and add more as you upgrade. Although supervisors beat them they do not grant boosted effectiveness, the increase bonus is always fixed.
Supervisor office should be placed closest to normal workers, they may beat others but gives no effect.
