A week? Lol, it took Graham and I about a day to get it. I had been playing around 12 hours continuously to get GM I recall. We were among the first to reach that rank.
Wow lol. At first I didn't play it that much. It took me about 3-5 days to get grandmaster. Might take longer for new people though seeing that there are tons of good players out there and you won't win a lot.
regardless, I don't play many games, but feaudalism as was mentiond can take a long time, especially the first one with its mnay glitches. If you play that one, SAVE OFTEN!!!
Then if you want a real challenge, never buy any soilders. Its possible, I have done it. I'm a professional.
Then Prince of war, if no one mentiond that, it has a good story line and may take around an hour to beat.
whats that game you can play with outher people? With the space ships and stuff......people play that for days. haha
Its an RTS I tihnk (never played it so I don't know)
Where you buy ships and have to destroy the enemy. It was like a huge deal, it had to have multiple servers and things added......ferk WHAT IS IT CALLED!!!!!
Around 80 different levels. 8 different gem (and thus tower and trap) types that can all be combined for varying success. 10 different game modes for each non-boss level. 28 different skills you can improve as you level up (and thus customize your gaming experience by focusing on being good at specific things).
It's about as loaded with content and continuous varying play value as a tower defense game can get. Heck, it even has a pretty nifty storyline.
Boring after a while, maaaaaybe. Repetitive... Only if you keep doing the same over and over again. Cos you really don't have to.
I dunno, I was mesmerized for days back when it first came out, and currently am getting sucked back in and being excited about the next installment nearing release. >_>;

Oh, I played and beat the original and then made an excel sheet dealing with some of the statistics in the game.
Then, I played the sequel and got to wizard level 80 I think. Then I eventually stopped playing and then lost my save data.
But, I remember the harder levels boiling down to:
1.) How am I going to place these gems? 2.) Fail at level 3 times. 3.) From failed attempts use proper Gem placement. 4.) Use proper Gem placement but fail one more time after a half hour battle. 5.) Finally beat level 6.) At such a high Wizard level all the exp still did not get me to a higher level. 7.) Realize there are still 30 more levels to beat just in regular story mode and about 180 more levels including the additional game modes. At 2 hours to beat one level that is 360 more hours of game play or 15 days of playing straight through each day or 45 days of playing for 8 hours a day. 8.) Realize that all you do when you play is watch the same animation of bugs being zapped by a tower. Level after Level. 9.) Realize that the story, although well written and entertaining, only happens at few, and far in between, intervals. 10.) Play Colony instead.
(But it still is a great game and I would still recommend it as well.)

I remember those days. Wondering "Huh, what is Zoph up to? Have not seen her around for a while...Come to think of it, it has been all week. Go figure."
