1.) How am I going to place these gems? 2.) Fail at level 3 times. 3.) From failed attempts use proper Gem placement. 4.) Use proper Gem placement but fail one more time after a half hour battle. 5.) Finally beat level 6.) At such a high Wizard level all the exp still did not get me to a higher level. 7.) Realize there are still 30 more levels to beat just in regular story mode and about 180 more levels including the additional game modes. At 2 hours to beat one level that is 360 more hours of game play or 15 days of playing straight through each day or 45 days of playing for 8 hours a day. 8.) Realize that all you do when you play is watch the same animation of bugs being zapped by a tower. Level after Level. 9.) Realize that the story, although well written and entertaining, only happens at few, and far in between, intervals. 10.) Play Colony instead.
Agreed on #9 (and oh baw was I sad when I accidentally clicked past a page because I wasn't prepared for it > <, but for most of the rest... I guess I'm just better at it than you are. :P Beat most normal modes on the first try or two, had the occasional level that took like... 10? 15? Lots of runs due to some particular wave set-up.
Kind of kidding with that, really. But yeah, reached lvl 128 back in the day, prodded around in my old savefiles and could beat the final level easily around wizard lvl 80... (Possibly also before that, but t'was the savefile that was closest-yet-hadn't-done-it.) Note that "beat" is "get the gem" for me, not "outlast all 228 waves".
I dunno. Had Thoad to discuss strategies with for some of the "how am I supposed to do this? D:" levels. Most were straightforward variations.
Still haven't unlocked all the hidden levels, though. > >
I remember those days. Wondering "Huh, what is Zoph up to? Have not seen her around for a while...Come to think of it, it has been all week. Go figure."
It has that effect.
Wants GemCraft Labyrinth out already, fuuuuuuuuuuuuu.
Yeah, I wasn't very serious my other post. I still think it's a great game. It might be one of the reasons I created my account (I think I needed to post in the forums about it.)
I remember now why it was taking me so long to beat the game. I was going through the story, and then back tracking to redo the bonus levels, like the hard mode or survival. I was getting stuck on the modes were, when one enemy gets by you lose. That's what was taking me so long to beat it. And you couldn't really increase the speed of the game too often in that mode because you needed to doing things just right.
I kind of want to play it again... I wonder if I have enough hours to waste?
