ANNOUNCED AT LAST! Official Elder Scrolls Site Game Trailers Video

Just (I think) announced by Tod Howard at the Spike Video Game Awards!!!

The video seems to tell of the return of the Dragons, and someone called "The Dragon Born".
You should have acted.
They're already here.
The Elder Scrolls told of their return.
Their defeat was merely delay
Til the time after Oblivion opened.
When the sons of Skyrim would spill their own blood
But no-one wanted to believe.
Believe they even existed.
And when the truth finally dawns:
It dawns in fire.
But.
There's one they fear.
In their tongue, he's Novak'leen Dragon Born!

i'm not really that ecxited. i mean i love TES but its probably gonna end up a ''holy **** this is ****ing awesome'' game. The character you will be playing as is probably is gonna be some kind of a hero or some other ****. but i want it to be like morrowind, where everyone is like '' piss of outlander''. when i played oblivion it was a huge let down for me. and seeing in what direction other video games are going, i think that TES is gonna die.

The direction other games are going compared to TES? Do tell. Considering the TES series has had CONSECUTIVE, MULTIPLE Game of the Year awards from various critiques, I'd say they are doing very well and are going to continue to do well.

But if you hated Oblivion, maybe you should respectfully read the Game Informer pages Haku kindly presented for us. They are recreating nearly every aspect of the combat system, plot, storyline mechanics, art, and interfaces that made Oblivion not as great as it could have been.

The only thing I agree with you is the part about it needing to be like Morrowind. There was something so magical about Morrowind that I can't put my finger on, but it's what gave it the highest rating out of the TES series. And I don't think it's something you can point out in the game. I think it's just the "feel" of the game.

I put up a video with part of the Skyrim Main Theme and the choir if anyone is interested...Because I am sure most of the hardcore fans haven't seen everything. Seriously the last 2 months of my life I have been anticipating Skyrim. TES is the only series that I would give away every other game I owned to play. I still play Morrowind yeah!

Eh, personally I really enjoyed the preview in last month's issue of GI. If you don't get the magazine (which means you totally suck :P) you can read all about Skyrim here

By the way, Bethesda has released sixteen images on their blog. Nothing relatively new but it's a collection of all the officially available images in one place.

Apologies for the double post, but I just can't help but gawk at these pictures. I wonder when would Bethesda reveal more information. They've already stated that Skyrim won't be at GDC 2011.

Ohmagod this game's graphics look sick as heck! Ima have to buy a new graphics card and other stuff for my pc I guess because it looks intense.

Hey all! Don't ask why I am up at 4:45 A.M., but NEW Skyrim trailer (Actual trailer not announcement) supposedly with gameplay footage (OMG) will be out at 10:00 A.M. Eastern!!!!!!!!!

Not sure about this one. With the mess Bethesda made of Oblivion I'm not sure I want to revisit the series. I'll suspend buying this until at least a month old, so that I can get some reliable feedback from friends.
