You need to produce things in bulk for a war. Its no good to have good quality if you don't have enough.

Tell that to the Germans. They were winning the war (more or less) up until Operation Overlord (D-Day). And if the Germans hadn't invaded Russia until after they took care of the Allies then they would haven't have lost. Too many fronts got going and they got stretched too thin.

Actually, if Japan had a larger industry they would have slaughtered America in the pacific. And for all you Americans who are a little over zealous about your history I shall remind you of a few facts.

1) The Japanese army never gave up
2) They were highly trained and invaded large portions of China and Indonesia
3) They rarely lost decisively even against the Americans
4) They had women and children fight

i heard of a japenese unit holding out in some island thinking the war was still going on until the 60's/70's

can't Dispute that

3) They rarely lost decisively even against the Americans

most of the time the Americans lost much more than the Japanese did to win

4) They had women and children fight

as part of the suicidal "shattered gem" attacks
but a lot of times they'd force it upon them

did you know this?

- America hadn't a real army till WOII. they had to force young people to go to the army, because there weren't enough volounteers.

- Russia is REALLY underrated. just like poland. my other grandpa, wich was 10 at the end of the war, once told me about Polish soldiers who freed his village, and he lived, (and stil lives) at the Dutch/German border.

- the nazi-doctor Aribert Heim (also known as doctor death) predicaded that he had helped his 'atients' by keeping them out of the gas chambers for a while...

- the Allied Forces tolerated the annexation of Austria and the invasion of Tsjecho-Slovakia by the Nazis in anxetie of a new war. finally, when Poland was invaded, they tried to intervene. first with little offspring, but after a while with mor success.

I don't believe that is quite right. During the civil war, both the north and the south had drafts due to the fact that most volunteers had been killed during early battles.

trenches weren't as big in the eastern front

they just charged at well prepared enemy and thought overwhelming numbers would win out

they also never decoded radio transmissions and the soldiers were poorly trained

almost the same for WW2 aswell

define 'directly' on the atomic bomb. He worked on it. there. and the US was in the Rev. War, WWI, Spanish-American war, war of 1812, etc. And they all counted. Every single one mattered.

ah yes i remember that. But we still got in it. it doesnt mean it didnt count. Are you suggesting that all of our soldiers that died in all of these wars just don't count?

Hey man, don't start with me. I honor EVERY single soldier, no matter what side, no matter what he did. Only that he/she was serving for their country. That's all that matters. God bless every soldier in the world.

Do you not understand what I'm saying?!?!?! I am honoring EVERYBODY that has served, is serving, and has died during a war! This argument should not even be happening.

i'm actually branching off

but WW1 was all because of some petty dispute in some small country, what odd pretenses for a war.
