Hey, I live in the UK, so I don't know about the US. So I wanted to ask what kind of music do people aged 11+ listen to?

no see the oakland raiders are a foot ball team and the new york clippers are basketball
Me being the big sports fan I should have noticed that instantly. It's pretty late here so that's why I'm slow.

Back on topic, hip-hop, pop, and rap seem the be dominating the US. Especially in my state. Although I can't stand any of those genres.

well.. i dont think its dominating the US. i think people are slowly becoming more stupid, therefore simple music pleases them. then they dont give any other kind of music a chance because the music that they listen to has dumbed them down into close mindedness. i feel as soon as people open there eyes to other forms of music, and this goes to any genre fan, then intelligence grows and oppinions DRASTICALLY change for the better. you give a justin beiber fan 20 of ELP they will fall in love i almost garentee. you give a maggot 20 minutes of nonstop Rakim, they will fall in love.

This would make an amazing poster.

I agree with most of that wall of text. People don't want to give another genre a music a chance. That just think that there genre is epic and all the rest sucks. If people had more variety I think opinions would change.

so how many fo you go to school? anyway, I'm guessing that in the 11+ age you listen to rap, hip hop and pop. looks pretty much the same.

What artists?

Seems like we do have some Justin Beiber fans after all on AG.

I think it's very diverse in the US, but it seems like most people are drawn to...
rap, hip hop and pop.

new york clippers are basketball
I just noticed that... New York isn't the Clippers. New York is the Nicks, LA is the Clippers for basketball.

if his best is crappy. lol
I don't like his style of music at all, but everyone likes different things I guess.

Me too. In 7th grade I was basically like "I <3 Classic Rock and all other music sucks" and then 8th grade, I was like "I <3 Classic Rock and Metallica but all other metal sucks." Then when I got into high school I was still like that, but then I slowly started listening to Eminem and Taylor Swift and other music.
