this is a band I have recently come across... I now have two of their albums. Has anyone else ever listened to them? if so which songs/albums did u enjoy?
I enjoy the songs from their albums: Virus Dust to Dust
particular songs: Lust for Life When the Rain Begins to Fall Liberty Spill Blood on Fire Wasted Time (Featuring Sonata Arctica's Tony Kakko) :P
...or if you haven't heard of them and u end up listening b/c of this thread i would like to hear whether or not you found Heavenly enjoyable or not
I've been curious lately and I've started listening to more and more newer metal bands and this band sounds pretty good. I've only listened to "Virus" so far and I like how much attention they pay to the vocals and the guitar work is great. I think I like French Power Metal better than English Power Metal...
i've heard a few songs from the album Carpe Diem.. but i don't remember how much i liked them... i'll have to take another look at it when i'm not limited on my internets... the album cover for Carpe Diem isn't what i would call pg 13 tho... just a fore notice
Well Sonatavarius, you got me hooked to Van Canto, so I might as well give this band a try! Is it clean? I don't really enjoy growling or screamo.
ur welcome... i'm glad we share the similar musical taste. as for heavenly the main vocalist's pitch is somewhat high at times... and some of their songs kind of remind me of Queen... kinda not really but sorta... if that made any semblance of sense. i have found that pretty much any band Tony Kakko goes out of his way to guest sing in is worth at least a try. tony being Sonata Arctica's (favorite band) vocalist. some of Heavenly's songs may be acquired tastes.. but for the most part i'm happy with them
i don't mind DF... and i can listen to it for hours... but its just not my normal first or second choice. I prefer other stuff.... plus i hear DF is terribad live ...and i don't mean that in a good way
Hi sona nice post, that band is cool. i just heard the album "carpe diem" and the songs that i most like were: a better me, lost in your eyes and ode to joy. gonna keep and eye for the others

I don't mind DragonForce either, I actually like that band as well. I also prefer other stuff though. They're terrible live because most of their guitar parts are all improvised.
thanks nontrop... i do remember now there being maybe 1 or 2 that really caught my attention... It'll be one of the first things i look into when i get back up to the dorms next week. did u happen to listen to the ones I posted? i know i've posted a few of them on the xat chat at different times
Nice new band you've found there Sonatavarius! I've checked some of their videos on YouTube and it's (to me) a bit of a crossover between Metal and the 80's style Rock music in terms of guitar riffs and tempo, EXCELLENT!! *makes air guitar sign* =P
Allthough I have to say that with the song called 'Lost In Your Eyes' comes a video that makes for a different title... 'Lost Between Your B**bs' was a better one there... LOL
I'll be checking them out on both albums! Thanx for the revelation! *two thumbs up*
Sonata introduced me to them a couple days ago and i must say,
THEM IST AMAZINGNESS!!!!! their style (which is much like that of Gamma Ray, Iron Savior, and HammerFall) is quite apealing to me. i just found them and they're already my 6th fav Power Metal band! and thats really good since i havent heard any single one of their albums completly. FRENCH AND GERMANS PWN!!!!!!
