Hey guys, I wanted to predict the NFL playoffs this year, so I'm gonna start my own thread and keep this going up until the Super Bowl. You are welcome to post your own picks here if you want, or just discuss the playoffs in general!

Wild Card Round (Jan 8-9):
(I predict scores too, they're probably way off though. Just pay attention to my winner picks.)

Saints 34
Seahawks 13

Packers 14
Eagles 20

Ravens 27
Chiefs 21

Jets 9
Colts 17

They kind of should be since they have a better record then the Eagles. But the Falcons are in their division and they won more games so the Saints are a 5 seed.

I know, it really doesn't make sense. Maybe they should change the rules or something.

I'd like to see Peyton win at least one more so he can flash 'em at that idiot Favre. I've had enough of the Patriots. It's hard to root against the Saints, and so easy to root against the Seahawks. I'm a Lions fan, so Chicago & Green Bay are out. I wouldn't care one way or another if Atlanta takes it. Pittsburgh and Baltimore just bore me to death. The Jets I wouldn't mind, because I'm liking Rex Ryan, and I'd like to see Tomlinson win a ring as well. Soooo.. For the Superbowl, I'd like to see the Saints vs. the Colts or the Jets... with any of the three winning. Personal preference.. the Colts!

Would you really want to see the same Super Bowl as last year?! I sure want a change.

Its better if its new teams to keep it fresh. Also why does Iberic have something againest Farve? The Saints got away lots of roughing the passer penalties last confrence game not called.

That would be rich.

I'm calling Pitt vs Atlanta in the Superbowl. That'd be really hard to root for: Atlanta is my regional team, yet Pitt is my favorite team... And Pitt would win.

I have something against Favre first of all just from a Lions fan standpoint. He was the leader of a division rival, so boooo (in a friendly way). Then he has a conference while he was trying to kick vicodin and complains that he's not allowed to drink beer (Doh!). And then everyone's favorite time of year... I'm retiring, I'm not retiring, I might retire, I probably will retire, HEY LOOK AT ME AT DIDN'T MAKE A DECISION YET, but I'm not ready to make a decision yet, I'm probably done playing football. Wait a minute, did you say training camp is over? Heck yeah I'm gonna play another season.

It's just extremely rude to the team who has to go on whether he does or not. It's no wonder the Packers dumped him. They have to make preparations to play on. When you play the position he does, it's even more important to know whether he's playing or not, because no 2 quarterbacks are really the same. So you need to prepare the best team possible to work with that quarterback. I think it's perfectly fitting that this is how he went out. He could have went out on a pretty high note last year. Nothing wrong with coming a play or two from the super bowl. Especially at that age. But not Favre, nope. He's gotta do the annual Look-At-Me Fest. He just disgusts me.

@ sk8brder: Indy has only been to the super bowl once in recent history, and the Steelers only twice. If there is anyone to complain about going to often, it would be New England.

@ ilberic: Farve's staying in the NFL actually ruined his reputation, not just because of all the retiring things, but also of the ilicid text scandal that he was involved with earlier. That is what he will be remembered for by my generation. The earlier one would remember him for his playing.

Anyway, as far as the playoffs go, the AFC will most likely be Pittsburgh or New England. The NFC is wide open though.

NO.

The Chiefs will win the AFC. Jk, they probably won't; but I sure hope they do.

I just don't want the Packers to make it to the Super Bowl. That would suck so much. So, I am rooting for the Eagles, and Jets.

Jets: So the Chiefs don't have to verse the Pats
Eagles: Cuz I hate the Packers and then the Falcons get the Saints.

Biased lol.

mdv is a Jets fan, and I am too, but I do not think that the Jets are going anywhere in the playoffs unless Peyton Manning plays like Peyton Manning during that Dallas Cowboys game week 12.

Aww you got me there

The Jets will go as far as Mark Sanchez and the Jets D will take them, which could be to the super bowl. Jets have a tough game today but we not have a good corner to play opposite Revis. I'm thinking zone coverage with blitzs all day. We need to pressure Manning because if we don't, he will dismantle us.

My biased prediction AFC:

Jets over Colts
Ravens over cheifs

Jets over Pats
Ravens Over Steelers

Jets over Ravens

Jets over Atlanta/Green Bay

JETS WIN SUPERBOWL 45

Real predictions

Jets Over Colts
Ravens over Cheifs

Pats over Jets
Ravens over Steelers

Pats over Ravens to win AFC

Saints Over Seahawks
Green Bay over Eagles (oh yes im smelling a upset)

Atlanta over Green Bay
Saints over Bears

Atlanta over Saints

Super Bowl 45: Patriots vs. Falcons
