Well, thread was about the unofficial wiki I made for AG. And with 0 replies it got locked. Why? I have no idea, I'm sure you wouldn't call it spam, or a duplicate.
It is advertising a link, We don't do that. Had it been a discussion or something like "What do you think should be added" or something similar, it could have stayed, but that there is simply just asking people to go see it, and to say thanks to the people who participated and gave feedback. We also already have an unofficial wiki, and a more official one(which is not active because I don't care to go actually make it before we have gone to AG3). So: Advertising link -> lock.
I was thinking about it being advertising, but then I thought: I don't make money, I just want to know what people think about it and get some feedback on what I made in my free time.
that there is simply just asking people to go see it, and to say thanks to the people who participated and gave feedback.
No I asked for help and feed back. what do you think should be added is a narrowed down version of feedback, and I like a wider approach, like what was good, bad and how to improve. As for adding that is only a tiny bit of 'feedback'.
What do you think should be added? = less feedback = not as much improvement
I don't make money, I just want to know what people think about it and get some feedback on what I made in my free time.
Just because money is not involved does not mean it isn't advertising. The ones involving money is just getting instant permabans instead.
As for the thread and the issue, you could try and rephrase your topic entirely. Put into focus what you want from the thread, instead of letting it be put in the last line after you have linked and thanked people. Put it up as a way for discussion instead of stating or nodding or whatever. That is, after all, what our threads are for.
I believe the one Cen is talking about is this current ArmorGames.
I was making a wiki to use instead of the hundreds of stickies (and the help page), so that we had a place where all the information could be found, and it could be updated appropriately whenever a condition was changed. Now that AG3 is coming up, I have abandoned the project for now, as I hope the new version will have a proper help page where all that information can be found instead. Otherwise, I will most likely follow through with the help of my fellow mods, especially Asherlee, as we have been working on updating the stickies together for a long while.
So, no, you can't run it. It would be a mod/staff project at best, a me being neurotic about information project at worst.
I don't necesarily think that is fair but oh well.
This is accounts made for the purpose of spamming advertisements for whatever they are spamming advertisements for. If they don't get filtered out along with their crap... I mean, advertisements, they will continue to abuse our forum, comments and trust in users. Which is why they get kicked on the first advertisement.
