Would have been better if you said 'next time I won't miss'.

"Calm yourself. I would rather die fighting the enemy than to be killed by, for lack of a better term, an ally."

How many more are we dealing with here? Can anybody get a head count here, or was that it? If there are more, we should work on an efficent plan, a way to kill them without fighting...

Do we see anything of use in this room, besides the bed?

Well, there's a bookshelf, which you guys emptied of books.
There's a few desks, but they have nothing of value(Trafire already got the potions in them).
There's a wardrobe containing a bunch of extremely dusty, worn, old outfits that once must have been very eclectic.

ewwwww, we gots us some wood! Now we just need a rudimentary lathe!(jk) I have an idea, we have rope, wood, and maybe some small metal objects like tent stakes or knobs in the furniture (rudimentary nails). I propose we build a trap out of these items. I think we could use the wood as leverage, like a battering ram of some kind. we set it up so if someone tries to enter the room, they get smashed by it, does everyone follow what I'm trying to do here? We just need some kind of a hammer, butt of a dagger works, but I think somebody here has throwing hammers, or was that the other game? Anyway, we need a trapmaker, does anyone here have Craft: Trapmaking or some kind of woodworking skill? Otherwise, we may be able to improvise, since this is an improvised trap, right? We could also board up the windows so the door is the only way in, hopefully...

It is Mord. (other game)

That's Eldrak (the other other game)

I really need Garrin of Shaar, 10th level scout who had Tactile Trapsmith, and a natural land speed of 80ft! (the other other other game where I invented a city known as Blood-Keep!)

Well, Otihand has the Use Rope skill. That might help a little....

Well, as DM, it is up to you what we can actually build out of our materials. Do you think we could build a trap for the door using what I suggested?

Technically, using the tools in the room, it's possible to make a trap, but I think you would need the Craft skill to do that.
Now, you remember that you shut off all the traps in the house using the bypass underneath the stairs. There are probably traps inside as well, and if you reactivated the traps somehow, it would cut both ways: it would hinder both you, and the monsters. There are already traps in place, it's just that you've disabled them.

Yep!
The bypass didn't work for all the traps, like it was intended to. It's been a long time, and it didn't work as well as it should have.
Unpredictability.

The least we can do for now, is board up the windows. The real question here I have is "would it be possible for us to make the trap or not?" All it is really is just some kind of rope tied to the door so if they get through the ram comes down and sends them flying. Does that really requires a craft check? It's not like we're making something out of pure materials. We could simply tie a rope around the dresser and hook it up to the ceiling with the "nails", and there's the ram. We tie a rope to that and the door so when it opens, the ram comes down, and SMASH! Otherwise, if anything at all, can we make an untrained skill check for it?

Okay, I guess it would be possible for you to make the trap. Now the question is, who is going to be trying to make it? Which one of you?
