I dunno, I was thnking something like a Sandslash pokemon's back crossed with a wolf's pelt.

Now that sounds cool, but I think it would not be that awesome. I never was a big fan of sandslash.

Like a porcupine, now apply it to a wolf, make the quills shorter and more fur-like as well as thicker, with roughly the texture and look of overly gelled hair.
