I mightn't be new, But Is it wrong/spammy of me to double post to fix up some spelling errors, to make me not look like a complete fool?

Moving this to Support & Suggestions.

You can just copy and paste your previous post, make the correction, and then ask a mod to delete the original.

But if the mod is watching TV and he don't delete the comment poor old jaza will look even more fool, saying the same thing twice :P

I had to do this because my 22 images weren't posted correctly (it was a thread, but still, a post). Times like this when I wish the preview message feature exists already *wishes he could time travel into the future*

Either way, if it is just a text-based post, you could easily fix that up with spell-checkable Notepad. It doesn't help with images, so I guess I was off the hook for that one....but still! You gotta look at your post, before you submit it, and think: "is this how I want to it to look?" Any post short or lengthy is subject to that question

Well, is it better to look like a tool and go "Sorry, 'kittens' not 'kwittens'." and thereby spam?
I do delete corrections like that, because it brings nothing more to the discussion, often is too short to be a proper post and most of the time, people don't care if you made a spelling error in an otherwise understandable post, unless it is some crap like "Oh, no 'multinational', I meant 'watchhouse'." in which you should probably focus more on your post.

That is true, but I hate reading mistakes, it just irritates me.

Why would we? I get great in-brain reception.

You can refer to this statement as evidence against me, that I do not mind for any member to come ask me to delete something they messed up on or want to start over, or etc. You get my drift.

I love neatness. It's not a chore to me.

Walker has kept on rambling on to me about how he watches his television programs online.

What I prefer doing, is copying the entire post, correcting it and making mention of the correction. Hopefully, some mod sees the old post and deletes it. Or, I just ignore the slight error and incorporate a correction into a later reply.

just do what I do, and not fix your posts. It's way to much effort, and if I fixed every thing I did wrong.....

I'll usually just do what knight said. Copy it and paste it. Then fix or add whatever you want in the post. If it's not a big problem I'll just leave it alone. I'm sure people can understand what I meant to type if I make a spelling error.

Hmm, it seems like it would be a little less of a nuisance for the Mods and everyone if an option to delete any posts made by you/yourself/you know what I mean were added. There are bigger fish to fry, after all. Although, spelling errors happen to everyone, and if a grammar Nazi cones along, its still really no biggie.

This solves one problem, but presents a multitude of other problems.

Freak said it exactly right. And we have mulled over editing posts several, several times before now.
