I dunno bout you but whenever I hear the word tavern I think of lord of the rings and drinks, do you think it would be a nice funny thing they could add or do you think i'm insane?
thirteen year-olds are now being told "drinking is cool".
If things are interpreted that way, 13 year olds are already being told "shooting people in the head is cool" and "Jumping off a building is cool".
It doesn't matter if it's real or not, video games tend to warn said buyers on the back with messages such as: "Use of drugs and alcohol". So, yes, AG would fall under the same category.
AG, as you said earlier, hosts flash games. Video games are generally more realistic. You can see video games warning people against gore content, but it is rare for flash games. AG and video games belong to different categories and do not have to obey the same rules.

There are toy guns made for eight year olds... Not to mention being told something is cool is different then being shown. Imitation is what I'm getting at. Thirteen year olds are at that age where they think "drinking is cool, smoking is awesome" and doing these things makes them even cooler. If AG were to implement something such as a "drinking fountain" where everyone drank virtual beers and whiskey... that would bring nothing but bad light on AG.

Both are games, both are played by a majority of children. Video games tend to have better graphics, that's about it. Down to the core, they are the same. Pretty much the way TV shows and Movies go. May be different, but at the end of the day, they provide the same basic entertainment.
Perhaps, but in a way this belongs more in the AG3 or Support and Suggestions section, so I would direct this there. Yeah, there could be a mini game or something involving drinks. XD
as in most countries, the legal age for someone to drink is around eighteen and in some cases sixteen.
Stupid USA and its 21 year old age restriction.
Back on topic, it could be cool if it was nonalcoholic stuff. Just kind of a way to set the tavern apart as a place to talk with less seriousness than other parts of these forums.
If you need to feel like in a tavern, just take a mug of beer/rum/mead with you when you are at your computer. No need of nonsense virtual stuff, no need to shove the responsability to the site
AG already promotes gun violence (Sierra 7), suicide (Evey day the same dream), brutally beating up people (Sonny series) and other things that parents would shudder to think about. Virtual drinks shouldn't hurt. It is like putting a straw on a camel that is already dead.
Or you could see those games differently, Sierra 7 is the law always wins, Sonny is keep staying alive, and for Every Day the Same Dream do more with your life and open your eyes to the world around you.

Kids are playing Grand Theft Auto when they're six and you think that "drinking is cool" message would be something new to em.

That is them this is ArmorGames. GTA is stamped as a "mature-rated" game, whereas ArmorGames is labeled pg-13 and family friendly. The major difference is that this is a flashgame site where it can be accessible to ANYONE who knows the site URL, whereas the GTA game is locked behind a glass case. If people, such as parents, buy the GTA game and their children get a hold of it, that's their fault. But when they let their children play ArmorGames intended for flashgame playing only and they click that "community" link and it has content like this, they did not intend for them to be exposed to that, and they are going to get riled up. And trust me, this is coming from a kid whose parents wouldn't let me play a teen game until I was a teen.

When parent let their child onto the internet they are letting them have accsess to anything in the world AND it's all unrated. Except for Newgrounds and Addicting Games no other game site really puts a rating on their game content. Same here bout strict boundries on what games I could play but on the internet there is no more ratings or boundries on anything so why not put it there, also if you are so pressed for the "drinking is cool" image then why not have it all unalcoholic?
The fact that the internet isn't sure is not really enough justification to start with something as senseless and stupid as "virtual drinks". I mean, wtf? What would they even be good for?

I thought it would be interesting, kinda like the game DM but maybe all non alchoholic drinks.

You can only access parts of the internet if you have the URL. The parents give the child the AG URL for playing games. If they find something besides flash games and it is deemed inappropriate for them, then they are going to flip.
(un)alcoholic or not, an image is an image and lotsa people can take it the wrong way.
(un)alcoholic or not, an image is an image and lotsa people can take it the wrong way.
I guess someone might but I dout it and I never heard of a parent giving a kid a site for playin games on, I found all mine through mindless searching and clicking on those links be4 the game loads and I eventualy found like 50 websites out of that. Also I think the game sites are rated BY the flash games because it shows how much tolerance they have so flash games ARE up for consideration to parents.
