Hi, I recently took a few typing tests, and I was curious to see what other peoples' typing speeds were. I will be keeping a log of mathematical scores of whatever gets put in here: the range, the mean, the median, the highest score, the lowest score, etc. and it will be updated periodically. So! I guess I should start? My highest ever score was 116(and that was with pretty low accuracy, considering...my accuracy was only 90%), and my average score is 104.75(based on 4 retakes of the same test with the scores 100, 110, 105, and 104, each with 100% accuracy). Here is the test I took: in order for the scores to be accurate, it would be best if we each took the same test(I took the Aesop's Fables test each time). Anyway, have fun. And in case you did not know, "wpm" means "words per minute".
Hehehe, not bad, Hyper. That's pretty darn fast! Under the same test, I scored an 89 with a 3 percent deduction for 8 errors. I suppose if I took a shorter test it would have been better. My endurance kinda failed at the last 40 seconds lol!

It's not really fair if you do the same test over and over again, then you sort of learn what to type. I think that, if you want to try again, you should try again with a different test.
Anyways, I only tried once, and I did the zebra test, 1 minute. Got 81 words per minute, with 100% accuracy. I'd probably have managed to do it a lot faster if I wasn't so obsessed with fixing every typo. Dunno if capitalization matters, but I used that too.

I dislike this program because it jerks you down the page and I lose my place frequently.
Yeah, not only that, it also allowed you to use backspace and correct the error before you moved on to the next word. Sure, it might not matter, but I think those errors should still be considered errors. Maybe I'm just being an ***, though.
God looking at your alls scores I feel awful. 51 wpm 90% accuracy. Aesop's fables 1 minute.
I type faster when I know I am going to type and not reading what I am typing, if that makes sense. I do rely on spell check to much though. I type as fast as I can normally and Fire Fox makes a squiggly line under my misspelled words.
Okay, I'm proud of this one. I did better with a different test. I did "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" and got: 60wpm with no errors, and 93wpm with 3 errors, the same as yesterday with Aesop's Fables. I don't think I can do better than that at this point hehehe...
I got 91 words per minute, but 4 errors brought me down to 88. I save 5 1/2 hours a week. This is good for me because the last time I took a test I had like 65.
