I feel bad for Egyptians. They should not have to break out in riots for the president to leave office. Unfortunately, their government is even more corrupt than ours.
"I hope one happens in the US."

Agreed.
We could have made changes through peace if we didn't have so much negative press and hate towards the Tea Party.

However, those aren't the changes many people want. A lot of people hate our government for being too involved with our lives, and a lot of people hate our government for not being involved enough.

That being said, a riot wouldn't solve much unless we could all agree on one side of the issue or the other.

As for the US, Obama has told the Egyptian president to man up and make changes and to transition into a democracy.

I know very little of what Obama plans on doing. All I have heard is that Obama told their president to make changes. Of course, this isn't going to happen.

The Egyptians will make no negotiations, no compromises. Even Obama knows this. The reason he told the president to make changes, rather than to back down, is because Obama does not want to make enemies with either their current leader or any future leader that will replace him.

Obama, in a nutshell, is trying to remain neutral.

The Egyptian president will have to back down, no questions asked.

At the rate it's going, this will be civil war. I can already see America needing to be world police again.

I don't see America getting involved unless one of three things happen:
1. If the new leader tells us we must evacuate our soldiers stationed in their country.
2. If the new leader threatens Israel.
3. If the new leader threatens America or decides to alliance themselves with Al-Qaeda.

I think that is the U.S has to declare war on a country, they should take their ICBM's, take off the nuclear warhead and put on a really explosive bomb. But don't send any troops over.

I, not being egyptian but rather muslim, think that Mubarak is making ahuge problem. Think about the deals he made with the israelites to stop supplies going to palestine. the other muslims in egypt have the right to make him go. not only that, but the police are runing people over with cars. i feel that this situation has gone far out of hand and if Mubarak gets his son to rule as well, then everything will be corrupted even worse than now. Egypt needs a new government with a muslim president. one that wont endanger his palestinian brothers.

If they go the way of past revolutions, I can see a 'check, check, and check' situation arising. Especially towards Israel.

Egypt has been on good terms with Egypt especially after the Six Day War.

Just look at all the belligerents on the right hand side.

Looks like things may go in a positive direction if the president cedes power to the VP.

The President can't, won't hold his power for more than a few weeks. His only crime was to make a machine to funnel money for him, by stepping on his people, but I
