Is it possible for it to come out... Just imagine that red dot swirling around to bring back 2000 all over again. But that would mean no more hedgehog on Wii. Thoughts?
I think Sonic will still be ported to other consoles, but....
Sega is just a game company now, instead of a console distributor. The Dreamcast was amazing--it was even ahead of its competitors, Sony and Nintendo, in terms of capabilities. For some unexplainable reason, however, they were losing sales and profits. No one wanted to buy their consoles.
I still agree with you on the greatness of the Dreamcast. It was doing things the Nintendo Gamecube could do when it came out--years later.
wow its been a long time sense i thought about the dream cast it was a hell of a system i might of just been a little kid but i loved playing sonic on it and house of the dead 2..and other games it would be nice if they made another dreamcast with sequels of games that came out for it only..
If the Dreamcast 2 came into the picture, it would just be another dog in the kennel. The size of the dog, the sharpness of their teeth, and the sound of their growls depends on how well they make their new comeback console. But I don't see it happening anytime soon. I wish it would, but I don't think it will.
Actually, the Wii is making a helluva lot more sales than the other two. They [wii] made 80 million sales in December, while the 360 just reached 50 million in Janually 2011. Nintendo is doing very well.

So to summarize what I said:
Sega didn't spend as much money advertising as the other companies, the Dreamcast didn't have a DVD played and Sega didn't have as much following as Nintendo which allowed them to overlook the lack of the feature. Also, the Dreamcast was the first 6th generation console released making some think it was outdated when the GameCube and Xbox came out although it was not, there was also a lack of some crucial 3rd party support.
There most likely wont be a Dreamcast 2 because Sega creates software, not hardware now. I'm not saying it's impossible just that it's very unlikely.
That maybe be so but Dreamscast sells on ebay all the time. Search Dreamcast 2 on youtube and there's tons of videos. Dreamcast may have more buzz now then it did 12 years ago
