I think 3-D is an over-hyped tool that is completely unnecessary, it seems like mostly 90% of the movies that are out today are in 3-D, and most of those movies don't even harness it, like The Green Hornet. I didn't see a single thing that was 3-D in that movie, nor did it make it feel like i was there. I think its just a tool that they add to their movies to jack the price up on movie tickets. Plus, I hate wearing those glasses for the 2-3 hour run times. What are your opinions?
I don't think 3-D is necessary to me. I already have a good TV and good channels and I think watching in 3-D is cool in the movie theater but in home is bad. Those glasses are uncomfortable too.

lolwut, this isn't true.
But anyway, I don't like 3-D the way that it is currently. It just doesn't look right. It almost seems like the 3-D effects that pop out at you almost look 2-D. Also, it is currently impractical, wearing those glasses, no one wants to wear those. I've seen one in person, they are working on TVs that show things that are 3-D without wearing glasses, but you had to stand in a certain place and the technology just was not sound. So unless they perfect the without glasses 3-D tv, and they perfect the way that the 3-D effects look, then it is impractical.
Ive never like the 3-D movies because it makes me feel sick at times. I'm not too crazy about it, but it can make your movie watching experiences better, but most of the time it will be worse.
to me those glasses are headaches...the whole 3-d concept to me is way overated...i mean heck all they had back then was just normal movies and no 3-d so to me who cares about 3-d cuase all it does is make u sick and dizzy!
I don't really care wether I watch a movie in 3d and 2d. But one thing I don't get is that movies like Terminator and Fast and Furious are technically already 3-d, so why make another version of it?
i agree with you.... partly. most of the time 3d isnt that of a good experience. i have to admit some movies were really awsome in 3d like alice in wonderland. still it kind of annoys me. they put a certain movie in 3d just so people will think they are better. in the end they will just forget about the movie. i really hate it when people start putting more afforts at things like graphics and then completely forget about an actuall interesting story.
I like 3-D. although there are people wo can't see it (like the thread maker, I assume,) but in 'it's raining meatballs' with shots of the air, it was really a plus.
when I firs wore my glasses, the first thing I said was: 'wow, 3D! and that is in real live. so maybe that's the reason why I like 3D so much... (I had really bad eyes -4 and -2, and didn't reconize...)
3D is overrated and loses it's effect after the first couple minutes of the movie it's in. With all the wasted time and effort spent making a movie 3D, developers shouldn't bother.

I agree with you, making a 3-D movie is a waste of money. For me if there is a good film in any kind of TV (a new one or an old one) and a comfortable couch, I sit and watch the film.
I like 3D for the movies that are actually made for this, and not just taking it in to earn extra cash. Some movies get a lot better with the 3D feel, others should have stopped, dropped and rolled out of the 3D field. Sadly, like with original audio for children's movies, it has begun to be hellish hard to actually get a ticket for a non-3D movie. Instead you have to sit through a 2D movie you can't see without wearing ugly glasses (which I agree, will give you a headache, or make you feel utterly sick, if it (the movie) has not been made specifically for 3D).
If they really are going to ruin movies, I say they ought to give (me) the option to see the real deal (with the real audio).
Imagine avatar without 3d. It would be far worse in my opinion. That film was based on the impressive graphics, and in 3d they wouldn't be as impressive.
I went to best buy once, and the 3-D was horrible. It was some pacman movie (I can't believe they actually made a pacman movie) and it looked more 3D when I wasn't looking through the glasses.
